1) Cow Crusher Farm for Food

In Minecraft, making sure you have enough food is a key part of staying alive. Interestingly, in the 1.20 version of Minecraft, they haven’t made any changes to the incredibly effective Humble Cow Crusher, making it a bit of a powerhouse for food. The best part is that you won’t need a tonne of materials to construct this nifty farm; Everything you need is conveniently stashed in a nearby chest. To kickstart this farming venture, you’ll need a minimum of two cows and a decent stash of wheat for breeding.
Begin its construction by digging a couple of blocks down and plopping a chest with a hopper feeding into its rear end. Remember to crouch while placing it to avoid accidentally prying open the chest. Employ two temporary blocks to set up a slab, and then build around the hopper. Make sure to create a way up and down from the farm with a block and an additional temporary block.
Once that’s done, Grab some wheat and entice the cows one by one into the hole you’ve prepared. Once both of those bovines are safely inside, slap down a fence gate and get rid of the temporary block. To activate the farm, crouch down and slap a water bucket right on top of that hopper. The water’s going to give the cows a gentle nudge, and your farm will kick into gear. To keep things going smoothly, hold your wheat, right-click, and breed the cows until you’ve got around 24 of them hanging out in there. This efficient little farm guarantees that you’ll never go hungry for some tasty steak during your Minecraft escapades.
2) Flower Farm for Lava Production

Now that you’ve gathered plenty of raw steak from your Cow Crusher, the next step is to find a way to cook it, and you’ll need something to do the cooking with. Here’s the amazing part: Lava can be used as a powerful fuel source, capable of smelting up to 100 items with a single lava bucket. This is where our simple flower farm comes into play. Take a look at the materials you’ll need; You might not have eight lava buckets right away, but don’t worry, you’ll collect more as the farm runs. Now, let’s open the chest and begin building. Arrange the cauldrons as you like, maybe in a Q8 layout, and place a temporary block.
Afterwards, set non-flammable blocks to cover all the cauldrons, ensuring there’s a one-block gap in between them. Under these blocks, position your pointed dripstone to create a pattern, and you can form a border around it. Remember, you can use any non-flammable blocks for this part.
Finally, fill the space with lava buckets, just as shown. This setup will allow you to smelt your raw steak using the lava’s heat efficiently. As time goes by, these cold roots will slowly fill up with lava. You can easily collect them and put them into your smelter, ensuring you have a steady supply of fuel.

3) Automatic Cobblestone for Stone

Now, let’s move on to the next incredible farm invention: An automatic cobblestone and stone generator. This farm often goes unnoticed, but it’s incredibly useful as it allows you to gather stacks of cobblestone and regular stone in just a matter of minutes. To build this, you’ll need five lava buckets, so it’s a good idea to gather some lava in advance.
Ideally, you’ll want a decent amount of space for this fun project. Start by digging out two blocks and placing a chest in the hole. Then, use five hoppers and connect them by crouching, with the first hopper going into the top of the chest. Add temporary blocks and stairs to create a stair-step pattern, ensuring they all face inward. Connect them in the middle with three more stairs, and complete the structure with more blocks at the back, next to the hoppers.
For safety, use non-flammable blocks near lava. Below the stairs, add a temporary block and upper half-slab. Waterlock the stairs for a neat look. Surround the space with one more block and insert five lava buckets. Crouch, stand on the chest, focus on the stone block, and hold the left mouse button for cobblestone or stone, depending on your pickaxe. Don’t forget to set up a full enchantment setup like Fortune 3 for valuable diamond gear while gathering resources for your starter base.
4) Bamboo Farm for Fuel

In Minecraft’s 1.14 update, bamboo was introduced to the game, and that’s the key ingredient for this farm. This farm is made up of multiple modules that can be extended to your heart’s desire, and you can place them on either side of the main hoppers down the middle, wherever you prefer. For simplicity, we’ll explain how to build one module.
To create one module, start with a hopper on the top block and place a piece of grass below it, with a bamboo shoot on top. Behind the bamboo, use a building block (Glowstone is recommended for better lighting).
On top of the building block, place a piston facing the hopper, with a block behind it. Above the piston, set an observer, and behind the observer, place a piece of Redstone. The bamboo will grow, the piston will break it, and it’ll be pushed into the hopper. Remember, for maximum efficiency, build multiple modules and stack them. With this infinite fuel farm, you’ll never run out of fuel for your furnaces.

5) Iron Farm for Crafting

In Minecraft, one of the most useful farms you can build at any stage of your adventure is an iron farm. Iron is essential for crafting various items like hoppers, rails, and more, but obtaining enough of it can be quite challenging. This farm can produce over five stacks of iron per hour, making it incredibly efficient. To build it, you’ll need materials that aren’t too hard to gather. The first step is to find a flat area for your farm, ensuring there are no obstructions. Then, dig a trench that’s three blocks wide and seven blocks deep. Inside this trench, create a small room, three by three in size, and place three beds in it. Add slabs and a trapdoor to the room as well. Next, dig out a tunnel for the killing area and set up a chest with a hopper leading into it. Create water flow in the tunnel and use signs to prevent lava from spilling. Duringnight-time, bring the villagers to their beds and attract a zombie to the area. Protect zombies from iron golems, and your iron farm is complete. Iron golems will spawn and drop iron ingots, providing you with a steady supply of this valuable resource for your Minecraft adventures.
