Sith Lords are our favourite villains, even when compared to the likes of Darkseid, Thanos, and The Batman Who Laughs. For one, they use every shade of lightning, including purple, white, and blue Force Lightning, to eviscerate their foes. Siths are the most passionate individuals, which is why their techniques are always lethal.
Besides abilities like jumping bodies and tearing spaceships apart, some Sith Lords are capable of using devastating powers like Force Storm. Player.com dedicates this article to Siths whose intelligence and combat prowess are legendary. The first on that list is Palpatine.

5 Sith Lords We Would Love to Play
Siths are some of the most evil and destructive beings in Star Wars. Everybody hates them and their skewed view of the world since they only gain strength through pain. Still, the Rule of Two is a fantastic Sith law that births geniuses of the Dark Arts. Below are five of the legends in question.
#1: Darth Sidious
Oftentimes, the uglier a Sith is, the more potent his or her abilities are. Palpatine sums up our thoughts with a disfigured body, courtesy of his overexposure to the Force. He’s a master strategist who single-handedly brought the Jedi Order to its knees, but that doesn’t mean he’s not a capable combatant. Darth Sidious lived a double life. He was a Naboo Senator during the day and a Sith Lord at night.
Initially, Darth Sidious was Queen Amidala’s confidante, but he was secretly plotting his election as Supreme Chancellor. From there, he plotted against Anakin Skywalker, mentoring him to seize whatever he wanted. Eventually, Darth Sidious became the Emperor after playing both the Separatists and the Republic with the help of Jedi Count Dooku.
Anakin Skywalker eventually defeated Darth Sidious because he threatened his son, Luke Skywalker. However, Darth Sidious cheated death once more to plot against the New Republic and their new champions, including Rey. It’s a game of whack-a-Palpatine, as the Sith Lord can always cheat death by abandoning his physical body. At this point, a Star Wars game about Palpatine possessing a new body isn’t bad, is it?
#2: Darth Revan
Revan is a Sith Lord of the highest order, which means he’s capable of Force Storm, Deadly Sight, Memory Walk, and many more Sith powers. In Star Wars Legend, Revan was a Jedi Knight who went rogue to form a Sith Empire whose goal was to destroy the Jedi Order. His plan failed, and suffering from a memory wipe, the Jedi Order retrained him to destroy his Order.
That said, Revan the Butcher’s defining ability is his use of Jedi and Sith abilities without corruption. So, he shares none of Palpatine’s physical deformities and can use Force Lightning with no consequences. We would love to relive his experience on the PS5 and Xbox Series X in 4K, but you can still play Revan Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic on Steam.
Honestly, getting mind-wiped by your future wife stinks! He left his pregnant wife to investigate his dark past when his suppressed memories as a Sith Lord started resurfacing. Therein, Revan was tortured for three hundred years by the Emperor before getting the chance to even the score.
#3: Darth Bane
Darth Bane is the creator of the Rule of Two, a law that dictates that there can only be one Sith Lord and apprentice at a time. The apprentice must always kill their master to become the new Sith Lord, so it’s a murderous rule. For one, the strong will always prey on the weak, which isn’t surprising because hate, discontent, and other negative emotions power their abilities.
Darth Bane believed that the Sith could only beat the Jedi Order through cunning, not brute force; A rule that Darth Sidious religiously upheld and used to topple the Republic. Despite his cunning, he’s a character who has perfect control over many Dark Arts. His Force Lightning could kill on contact, while telekinesis could implode Force Barriers.
An expert at Form V, he could also destroy foes with his lightsaber in mere seconds due to his aggressive approach to combat. Darth Bane would later be killed by Darth Zannah, upholding the Rule of Two and its harsh ascension process. Without Darth Bane, there would be no Darth Sidious.
#4: Darth Traya
Darth Traya was also a Jedi before she turned to the Dark Side. She deserves credit for training Darth Revan in the ways of the Force and everyone knows how he turned out. Naturally, Darth Traya is also a master of Sith abilities such as Force Lightning, Memory Wipe, Force Choke, Force Horror, Mind Control, Force Speed, and Force Drain. She could literally steal the Force from her foes to replenish her ever-growing reserves. Her Telepathic skills were also incredible, able to speak with her allies across vast distances. She could plot her enemy’s death and they would be none the wiser.
However, Darth Traya’s coolest ability is her Telekinesis, which allows her to control at least three lightsabers simultaneously. Besides that, she could use Dark Transfer, sever Jedi Masters’ connections to the Force, and see the future via Shatterpoints. Shatterpoints are essentially fractures in reality that let you peep across time and space to see important events. For instance, she successfully predicted Jango Fett’s death at the hands of Jedi Master Mace Windu 4,000 years into the future.
#5: Marka Ragnos
Marka Ragnos was one of the Sith Lords that could make even Darth Sidious pale in fear, which is impossible as he’s white as chalk already. Marka Ragnos used a Sith sword, which was a better Force conductor than a lightsaber. It couldn’t cut through armour like lightsabers but you could channel the Force with a Sith sword like a magic wand. With Marka Ragnos’s natural talent for the Dark Arts, he was a monster in combat.
His Sith sword’s sharpness could be augmented by channelling Force Lightning through it while it could parry lightsabers when you channel the Force through it. A versatile tool like that was perfect for laying waste to the Jedi Order and its enemies. Besides that, he’s also a capable manipulator who lived on as a Force Ghost. He’s likely the strongest Sith Lord in Star Wars lore because nobody seems to have killed him. Instead, he supposedly passed away from old age.
Our Final Say: Siths Are the Yang to the Jedi’s Ying
Tales of Yin-Yang never get boring, not when George Lucas spins the theory into the Jedi and Sith parts of the Force. Hopefully, some of the upcoming Star Wars games will star a Sith Lord, instead of a Jedi. Don’t get us wrong, Cal Kestis is a capable knight, but we want to feel the lightning coursing through our enemy’s veins (Courtesy of the DualSense).
