Arena has always been a fan-favourite for League of Legends players ever since it was introduced. Battling it out against other teams with a trusted friend by your side, trying out new champion pairings, and topping it all off with some crazy augments is what Arena is all about.
However, we know many of you don’t like going through the trial-and-error phase. To make things easy, we’ve compiled seven of the best team compositions for Arena in League.

Recommended Team Compositions for Arena
7. Yummi & Dr. Mundo
We’re thinking of starting off strong with Yummi and Dr Mundo, a tried and tested combo that has caught tons of players off-guard. The duo might seem weak and helpless with no direct damage output, but this is quickly proven false once Dr Mundo gets an item or two. With the insane amounts of healing between the pair, they can out-sustain almost any duo in the game.
This might be one of the best team compositions for Arena, but you’ll need to know how to play it in order for it to work. The one thing that is essential for victory is to keep Yummi alive. If Yummi detaches from Dr Mundo and is hit with crowd control, there is a 5-second window where she’s vulnerable, enough time to kill her off. This is a scaling pairing, so it’s okay if you lose the early rounds as you get crazy strong later on.
Don’t engage in the enemy since you lack damage; Rather, let them come to you and avoid fighting it out as much as you can. Once the Circle of Fire sets in, use your sustain and let your enemies die to the fire damage.
6. Zyra & Heimerdinger
If you don’t want to put in the work and are willing to bet off on some early wins, Zyra and Heimerdinger is the perfect champion pairing for you. Zyra’s continuous array of plants combined with Heimerdinger’s army of turrets dissuades your enemy from getting close. Pick a spot in the centre of the arena and set up a base over there. As soon as enemy champions try to get close, use your double CC alongside your spawner abilities to whittle away at the enemy’s health.
You should always opt for slowing items like Rylai’s Crystal Sceptre. This will reduce enemy movement and allow your spawners to get some extra shots in. An important point to remember is that these champions don’t have much mobility or sustain; They’re heavily reliant on their spawners. If the enemy manages to break through your spawner barrier, get some space between both teams and start setting up turrets/plants in another location.
Also, make sure not to keep your spawning abilities off cooldown since spawners die automatically after a set period of time.

5. Singed & Cassiopeia
Okay, this might be controversial. But in our opinion, the Singed and Cassiopeia pairing is a strong contender for one of the best team compositions in Arena. Extremely toxic and extremely annoying to play against, your main goal is to restrict enemy movement and poke at them with Cassiopeia’s E. Cassiopeia’s E does increased damage to poisoned enemies and with Singed by her side, this is made extremely easy. Unlike other champion duos, you don’t need to wait for the enemies to come to you, as you can simply run at them and flip them behind with Singed’s E.
Your main win condition is always going to be keeping the enemy team far enough to avoid direct CC, like Pantheon E, but also making sure you’re consistently chipping away at their health bars. Rylai’s Crystal Sceptre is an excellent item pick for Singed as he will slow all enemy champions caught in his poison trail while Cassiopeia’s W grounds them entirely. Keep Cassiopeia’s R for contingencies in case you get jumped on from the fog of war.
4) Rengar & Ivern
Yes, the iconic Rengar and Ivern bot duo is also among the best team compositions for Arena and here’s why. The arena isn’t too large and has various pre-placed bushes. On top of that, Iver can consistently spawn bushes all over the map. If the Rengar knows what they’re doing, you can easily catch enemies off guard anywhere on the map. Pair this with Ivern’s Q for some insane crowd control, and you’ve already taken down one of the two champions.
What you’ll want to make sure of is that Rengar doesn’t get hit with hard CC. To avoid this from happening, it’s always best for Ivern to build support items, including Mikael’s Blessing. This item removes crowd control from an ally and allows Rengar to roam freely. Rengar should build full assassin items since you’ll want to burst an enemy down before they can get their strategy going.
3. Master Yi & Taric
Definitely among the unusual team compositions for Arena, Master Yi and Taric synergise weirdly well together when it’s 2v2. The main problem with enchanters is that they easily burst if they get jumped, but Master Yi cannot sustain himself all alone. That’s where Taric comes in. This enchanter/engage tank is able to keep Master Yi’s health bar topped up, all the while healing himself as well and getting some much-needed crowd control into the mix.
If things get really dicey, you always have Taric’s R, making Master Yi invincible. Throw in Master Yi’s R during that duration as well, and your enemies will be dead before they know it. The only key thing you need to be wary of is champions that can separate the pair. If Taric gets blasted far away from Master Yi, he won’t be able to buff him up, and both will end up dying.
2. Kai’sa & Nautilus
We know we’re mentioning a lot of bot lane duos, but it’s just because these team compositions for Arena work so well. Kai’sa and Nautilus are definitely on the harder side to pull off successfully, as your spacing with Kai’sa needs to be impeccable. But if you manage to stack up your Lethal Tempo stacks and couple that with Nautilus’ CC, Kai’sa’s passive should be more than enough to tear apart the enemy pair.
For this particular team composition in Arena, you can switch out Nautilus for Rell or Alistar since you need a champion with high CC. If you’re wondering why other ADCs won’t work, it’s due to Kai’sa’s high mobility and carry potential.
1. Jhin & Yorick
Jhin and Yorick are our final pairing for today, beating out a lot of other great team compositions for Arena. The secret of success for this unusual duo lies in their hidden damage output. When both these champions go full lethality items, they’re able to easily burst down most champions, regardless of how tanky they are. Yorick’s W traps champions in one place, letting Jhin recharge his bullets.
Yorick’s E also aids in activating Jhin’s long-range snare, which can spell death for any champion caught in it. Don’t wait too long or play around with vision, as both these champions are pretty immobile and squishy if enemies get too close.
