Spin-off games based on side characters are usually very hit-or-miss and we’re hoping the new Princess Peach Showtime game is part of the former. Part of the Super Mario Bros universe, Princess Peach has always been the helpless damsel in distress where she needs Mario and the gang to save her, but that’s not the case anymore. Official Princess Peach Showtime Release Date Announcement

Princess Peach Showtime was originally announced at the Nintendo Direct event in 2023 and ever since then, players have been eagerly waiting for the release date. Well, it’s finally here. Princess Peach Showtime will officially be released on March 22, 2024. This fits perfectly with several other video games released around the same date like WWE 2K24. Hopefully, neither game overshadows the other since both have some incredible gameplay.

With the Princess Peach Showtime release date finally out, Nintendo and Super Mario fans have something to look forward to next month. The exciting part about this game lies in its storyline and how it will deviate from the main storyline we all know about the Mushroom Kingdom.

When the game was initially teased in June 2023, it was simply an unnamed Princess Peach game. There were fears it wouldn’t live up to expectations since the previous version, Super Princess Peach, was seen as a let-down by many players. Hopefully, Nintendo will do everything in its power to ensure this one delivers some captivating gameplay and does justice to the commonly overlooked character.

Many of you might be wondering if the Princess Peach Showtime release date might be delayed, given that the game’s initial announcement was made just five months ago. We don’t think that will be the case and here’s why.

First off, Nintendo is a pretty company itself, and rarely do companies like it postpone their games after revealing an official release date. There is, of course, the exception of some game-breaking bug that renders the game unplayable, but that is a rare occurrence.

Secondly, Nintendo has been constantly pumping out information regarding the Princess Peach Showtime release date and the various transformations the game will contain. With the release date quickly approaching, we don’t believe that Nintendo has any intention of delaying the Princess Peach Showtime release date and the release will probably go off without a hitch.

What Is the Princess Peach Showtime Storyline?

As we mentioned before, Princess Peach Showtime won’t be your typical Mario game where Princess Peach needs others to save her from Bowser. On the contrary, Princess Peach Showtime features her as the protagonist as she must venture into the Sparkle Theatre and defeat the bad guys to regain control.

It all starts off with a cute little toad bringing a flyer to Princess Peach, showing her the Sparkle Theatre. When they visit the Theatre and check it out, they see that the Wicked Grape and the Sour Bunch have infiltrated the Sparkle Theatre and taken over. Now, when we reach the Princess Peach Showtime release date, players will need to play as the Princess and defeat several bad guys from the Sour Bunch before they become too strong to be defeated.

Make your way through these low-level minions to get to the Wicked Grape and go head-to-head with her. Only then can Princess Peach restore the Sparkle Theatre to its original state. But how does one lone Princess defeat an army all by herself? Well, she doesn’t. Princess Peach will have the help of Stella, the Sparkle Theatre’s guardian, who can transform Peach into different forms to help her progress.

Princess Peach Showtime has some pretty big shoes to fill given the Mario franchise’s extreme popularity. With the last Princess Peach game falling short of what people expected it to be, all eyes are on this video game redeeming the character who has quite a pivotal role in the Mario universe but is rarely anything more than a centrepiece to build quests around. The release date is quickly approaching and we’re all awaiting reviews on how the game really plays out.
