Snowbreak Story and Gameplay

Quite a bit of effort has been put into the world of Snowbreak to make it more realistic and enjoyable for players. The game consists of a total of 10 chapters that you will advance through for the main story.
Each of the chapters has its own variable number of missions. Players will be able to take three characters with them when they explore their story missions and can swap them out freely while playing. All of the characters in the game come with unique normal attacks, standard skills with a set cooldown, an ultimate attack with an energy requirement that is charged by attacking enemies and finally, a supportive skill that is applied when that character is not on the field. You can also utilise the ultimate skill of any off-field character.

Elemental Types and Weapons

Each character in the game comes with an elemental type, which determines the type of attacks they will be able to do. There are currently five different elements introduced in the game, which are Kinetic, Thermal, Frost, Electrical, and Chaos. Further, each of these characters will have weapon types they will be using throughout the game, which include Submachine Guns, Sniper Rifle, Shotgun, Pistol, and Assault Rifle.
Players will have to choose their character based on these different types, as having a certain type of character on your team can be beneficial for some maps. For example, having a character that uses a Sniper Rifle on a larger map can greatly help in taking down enemies from a distance and not having to chase them down.
The Ricochet Mechanic

Something that you should definitely keep in mind when choosing the team you play is the Ricochet mechanic of the game. This mechanic dictates that enemies with high armor cannot be penetrated by attacks from a weapon with lower attack power.
Submachine guns generally cannot penetrate any enemy with good armor and suffer from a high amount of Ricochet. Conversely, weapons like Shotguns at closer distances and Sniper Rifles have a low rate of Ricochet.
Snowbreak Characters
At the time of writing, Snowbreak comes with a total of 15 characters the players will be able to choose from once they have been unlocked. Also, each character will fall into one of the four following tiers: Tier 0, Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3, with Tier 0 being the best out of the bunch.
Further, each character will come with their own weapon, skill, and role. Here is a list of all the characters in the game, along with their weapon types, Tiers, roles, and uses.

Snowbreak Game Modes

In addition to the standard chapters of story stages, there are also hard mode stages that you can choose to tackle. As the story progresses, you will eventually have to upgrade your armor and equipment to be able to tackle the later chapters of the story but the overall difficulty of Standard mode is not that high.
Apart from the main story quest line, there are a couple of other game modes in Snowbreak like Dispatch, Personal File, Operation, and Gigalink. Personal File and Operation are great for farming different materials and character Shards to help to upgrade and max out different characters. These modes do not have any increased difficulty whatsoever.
Gigaline is basically the online multiplayer version of the game which lets you play with friends or random people to clear out different stages. Finally, Dispatch is the end-game mode of the game which spikes up the difficulty for players that really want to be tested to the limit as you are made to take on stronger opponents in different missions.
