All Maps in Dead by Daylight

Dead by Daylight boasts a total of 22 maps, each offering unique challenges and atmospheres. Initially, the base game provided three maps, with the remaining ones introduced over time through various DLCs, including both original and franchise-based content. While accessing the entire collection requires an investment, the expanded environments significantly enhance the gaming experience.
Here are all the 22 maps in Dead by Daylight:
Base Game
- Autohaven Wreckers
- The Macmillan Estate
- Coldwind Farm
Original DLC
- Crotus Prenn Asylum (The Last Breath)
- Backwater Swamp (Of Flesh and Mud)
- Lery’s Memorial Institute (Spark of Madness)
- Ormond (Darkness Among Us)
- Red Forest (Demise of the Faithful)
- Yamaoka Estate (Cursed Legacy)
- Grave of Glenvale (Chains of Hate)
- Forsaken Boneyard (Portrait of a Murder)
- Garden of Joy (Roots of Dread)
- The Shattered Square (Forged in Fog)
- Shelter Woods (Tools of Torment)
- Toba Landing (End Transmission)
Franchise DLC
- Haddonfield (Halloween)
- Springwood (A Nightmare on Elm Street)
- Gideon Meat Plant (Saw)
- The Underground Complex (Stranger Things)
- Silent Hill (Silent Hill)
- Raccoon City (Resident Evil)
- Nostromo Wreckage (Alien)
All the maps in Dead by Daylight have been listed above. Suppose you’re looking to expand beyond the base game’s offerings. In that case, the Ultimate Edition will cover all DLCs except those that are part of franchise collaborations.
For instance, to immerse yourself in the spooky world of Silent Hill, you’ll need to purchase that specific DLC separately. Matchmaking will pair you with lobbies that correspond to the content you own.
Now, does owning more maps in Dead by Daylight give you an edge? Not really. Having a broader selection of maps doesn’t translate to quicker character progression. However, each map does alter the gameplay significantly, so if you’re after variety, it might be worth the investment. For those with a particular relationship with certain franchises, like the Halloween series, purchasing related maps can enhance the fan experience.
Time-limited DLCs, such as Stranger Things, also bring back their associated maps when they return. The Underground Complex, for example, will be reintroduced to the game soon, marking its first reappearance since 2021.

Dead by Daylight Maps: Tier List

Sorting the maps in Dead by Daylight isn’t as straightforward as categorising killers or survivors. It’s because the maps create an equal playing field for all players. Although they can significantly change the gameplay, they don’t favour one side over the other. Still, we’ll share our personal rankings based on our love for the game’s various maps.
Here’s a tier list of the best maps in Dead by Daylight:
Tier | Map Name |
S | Silent Hill, Haddonfield, Raccoon City, Autohaven Wreckers |
A | Coldwind Farm, The Underground Complex, Red Forest, Lery’s Memorial Institute |
B | Gideon Meat Plant, Yamaoka Estate, Forsaken Boneyard, Backwater Swamp, Crotus Prenn Asylum |
C | The Macmillan Estate, Springwood, The Shattered Square, Garden of Joy |
D | Nostromo Wreckage, Toba Landing, Shelter Woods, Grave of Glenvale, Ormond |
The maps are where franchise DLCs shine the brightest. If you’re a fan of the Halloween series, the spooky ambience of Haddonfield’s dimly lit streets is thrilling. Exploring the foggy town of Silent Hill or the chaotic streets of Raccoon City also offers a deeply immersive experience.
For the time being, that’s our insight on the maps in Dead by Daylight. Stay tuned for more guides on this enthralling asymmetrical survival horror game. With the addition of Chucky soon, there’s no better time to jump back into the game.
