Dragon Ball Sparking Zero Confirms 15 New Characters from GT Ahead of its October 11 Release Date

As the release date for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero approaches on October 11, Bandai Namco and Spike Chunsoft have delighted fans by confirming the inclusion of 15 fighters from Dragon Ball GT. This reveal comes after much speculation regarding including content from the often-debated GT series, which many fans feared might be sidelined or relegated to post-launch DLC.

However, with this latest trailer, it’s clear that GT characters will play a significant role in the upcoming game, with beloved fighters like Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Baby Vegeta set to appear, much to the community’s excitement.

Unfortunately, while the GT roster is impressive, some notable characters are absent, such as Super 17, Nuova Shenron, Ice Shenron and Lesser-known villains like Ledgic and General Rilldo. Regardless, the hype for Dragon Ball Sparking Zero is at an all-time high, as the absence of these characters could mean a potential inclusion of characters from Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero.

Dragon Ball Sparking Zero GT Trailer

In Dragon Ball Sparking Zero’s latest trailer, Bandai showcases a series of iconic characters from Dragon Ball GT, starting with Goku (GT). This version of Goku transformed into a child due to Pilaf’s wish on the Black Star Dragon Balls, is seen in action, highlighting his various transformations, including Super Saiyan, Super Saiyan 3, and the fan-favourite Super Saiyan 4.

The trailer also revealed Goku’s battle against Baby Vegeta, the parasitic villain who takes over Vegeta’s body in one of the series’ most memorable arcs.

In addition to Goku, Pan, Goku’s adventurous granddaughter, was confirmed as a playable character, sporting her familiar outfit from the GT series. Another major reveal was Uub and Majuub, utilising moves inspired by his appearance in the show. Fans were also thrilled to see Syn Shenron, the final antagonist from GT, and his powerful transformation into Omega Shenron.

To cap it off, the iconic fusion of Super Saiyan 4 Goku and Vegeta, Super Saiyan 4 Gogeta, was showcased, much to the delight of long-time Budokai Tenkaichi players, where this fusion had been a top-tier character.

October Will Be A Great Month for Dragon Ball Fans

With only a few slots left to fill, fans eagerly await the final reveal trailer, speculating which Dragon Ball Super characters would arrive in Dragon Ball Sparking Zero. Could we see Beast Gohan, Gamma 1 and 2, or even the monstrous Cell Max? The potential for large-scale battles, such as Great Ape Baby versus Cell Max, has left fans hopeful that Dragon Ball Sparking Zero will deliver the most comprehensive and chaotic Dragon Ball fighting experience yet.

Besides Dragon Ball Sparking Zero, October 11 is also the debut of Dragon Ball DAIMA, a new anime series featuring Goku and friends as children. It is a final tribute to Akira Toriyama, who worked closely with the series before his unfortunate passing.
