Elden Ring is FromSoftware’s latest soulslike game and it’s the most fun of their titles so far. Compared to Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, graphics and combat feel more robust. Though, the fact that players don’t have to rely on parrying enemy attacks simplifies combat. Nevertheless, this is still a title from FromSoftware so newbies and experienced gamers alike can look forward to a punishing challenge.

Some Sad News
The sad news is that Elden Ring doesn’t officially support any cheats. So, any player caught cheating will be penalised by FromSoftware. But then there are some tips and tricks to simplifying the combat.

Secrets for Simplifying the Elden Ring Combat
Combat shouldn’t have to be too hard once the game’s lore opens up to you. Elden Ring is an open-world game, so there are many items and secrets you can uncover to boost your chances of surviving enemy encounters. Some of the Elden Ring secrets are:
Use Bloodstains to Regain Health and FP
There are different items and tricks in Elden Ring for gaining health and FP after an enemy’s death. Mind you, these items only grant a small bit of your health back. But let’s not forget that you need to grind for these items before you can acquire them. It goes like this:
- Viewing another player’s bloodstain will heal your avatar. But the cause of death must be from fall damage or else your character won’t be healed. So, player deaths from fire, poisoning, and many other causes don’t qualify for this glitch.
But you have to equip some items to be granted health and FP. In which case, there are three items to equip for this effect. They are:
- The Ancestral Spirit’s Horn: This is a talisman that’s gained by transmuting the Regal Ancestor’s Remembrance at the Roundtable Hold. You’ll need to use the Finger Reader but this is only possible after defeating the Regal Ancestor’s Spirit in Nokron, Eternal City.
- The Blasphemous Blade: You can acquire the Blasphemous Blade by defeating Praetor Rykard in the Volcano Manor in Mt Gelmir. After which, you have to transmute the Remembrance of the Blasphemous in Roundtable Hold. This talisman will restore some of your HP upon killing an enemy.
- The Serpent God’s Curved Sword: This is actually a weapon found in Ruin-Strewn Precipice which borders North Liurnia and Altus Plateau. You can find this sword at the back of a Giant Land Octopus along the outer walls of the ruin. Defeating an enemy with this weapon equipped will restore some of your HP.
These items are great because you don’t have to defeat the enemies yourself. You’ll be granted some health as soon as any beast, bird, or enemy dies in your surroundings. Be it another player or an enemy. Everything from accidental deaths to scripted kills qualify.
Grabbing Some Early-Game Runes
Go to high-level areas like Third Church of Marika where the Flask of Wondrous Physick can be acquired. You’re actually going to Greyoll’s Dragonbarrow where you’ll find and activate the Bestial Sanctum’s Site of Grace. There are small humanoid creatures around for you to backstab for the biggest Rune drops. If you stab enemies in the back, you’ll be granted over 1,000 runes per kill. They stack up rather nicely, giving players a head start. If you kill the ones with eyes of gold, they drop 5,000 runes instead.

Elden Ring Cheats for PC
The only platform that supports cheats codes in Elden Ring is the PC. But these unofficial cheats can lead to account bans if players are caught by FromSoftware. To use these cheats, you have to download and install WeMod on their PCs. Once you have installed it on your PC, you can download a trainer for a variety of in-game effects. That said, the safest way to use these trainers is to make sure that you’re playing in the offline mode. Some of the effects of this trainer are:
- Infinite HP.
- Infinite FP.
- Zero Weight.
- Freeze Daytime.
- Enable Fly Mode.
- Damage Multiplier.
- Edit Max HP.
- Edit Frustration.
- Edit Intelligence.
- Stealth Mode.
- Unlimited Stamina.
- Defence Multiplier.
- God Mode/Ignore Hits.
Our Final Say
Don’t use cheat codes. In fact, this article, like many others at Player.com, is for informative purposes only. Elden Ring is best-experienced in its unaltered state, or as the developers intended the gameplay to feel and look like. So, we recommend that you embrace the grind and hustle of Elden Ring. Master your character powers, skills, and combat abilities to gain an edge over your opponents. Though, it won’t be easy because the combat system is robust and deep.
Frequently Asked Questions
Are There Any Cheats for Elden Ring?
No, cheats don’t exist for Elden Ring PC and console players to exploit. For games like Elden Ring that are already hard, having an edge can make the combat more bearable for newbies. So, instead of official cheats, there are mods and cheats from third-party software like WeMod, Cheat Engine, and Nexus Mods.
Can You Get Banned for Cheating in Elden Ring?
Yes, your Elden Ring character and progress can be erased if you’re caught cheating by FromSoftware. To avoid being banned, follow the instructions of the mods and cheats you’re using without error. Can You Beat Elden Ring Offline?
