TUM Hyperloop, the child project of TUM, started a project to revive Elon Musk’s revolutionary concept of a super-fast ground transport system, Hyperloop. The project head, Gabriele Semino, expressed his thoughts about the ongoing project and the progress of TUM regarding the development. 

Gabriele expressed his keen interest in the concept as he has worked for over seven years on the project with the hope of transforming the current transportation system. He proposed a decade for the project to conclude with a fully operational and commercially operable Hyperloop train running in various parts of the world. 

Since the project is massive, it will undoubtedly take longer. The current status of TUM Hyperloop is that TUM Hyperloop inaugurates a small-sized passenger pod at the Internationale Automobil-Ausstellung (IAA) in Munich. IAA is the International Motor Show that happened in September 2023 in Germany.
