After months of waiting, players can finally enjoy Hogwarts Legacy on Nintendo Switch, as Nintendo of America revealed Hogwarts Legacy Switch’s first official trailer today. However, unlike the famous gacha game, Hogwarts Legacy Switch is actually arriving, and it also has an official release date of November 14. Therefore, Nintendo Switch owners would now not have to sit by and look at Twitch streamers and YouTubers playing the game while they patiently await the release of the game’s final intended platform. Hogwarts Legacy Switch’s Video Has Surpassed Expectations
Before the video’s release, many fans displayed concern towards the final product of Hogwarts Legacy Switch. It is mainly due to publisher Warner Bros. Games and developer Avalanche Software having yet to show a single glimpse of gameplay despite it releasing in just a few days. However, after one fan who got the game early leaked some footage before subsequently removing the videos, Hogwarts Legacy Switch revealed its first official gameplay video today.
In the trailer, titled Magic Awaits, released today, we could see the developers are bringing Switch owners up to speed with Hogwarts Legacy’s narrative. For instance, the video depicts cutscenes and character’s appearances that players will interact with. Such familiar faces include the Ranrok, Eleazar Fig, Dinah Hecat, Victor Rookwood, and more. Moreover, the trailer provides a basic overview of the good and evil elements of the story that ultimately involve the player and the many Hogwarts Legacy characters roaming Hogwarts Castle and beyond.
In general, the first Hogwarts Legacy Switch trailer has met and even surpassed the fan’s expectations with noticeable improvements in the game’s graphical nature from the early screenshots shown before. While we are still unsure of how the final product holds up, this trailer has calmed a wave of leaks concerning the massive graphical downgrades of Hogwarts Legacy Switch.

Leaked Footages Shows Hogwarts Legacy Runs Well on Nintendo Switch Despite Initial Screenshot Concerns
As mentioned above, minority fans were reasonably concerned about Hogwarts Legacy Switch’s overall graphics as the quality of Hogwarts Legacy’s visuals has dipped quite a lot on Nintendo Switch with the initial few screenshots. It is understandable, considering it doesn’t have the same power behind it as other current-gen consoles.
Despite the majority of the fans feeling content with the solid Switch port, it was not until some players who acquired early physical copies of the game recently attempted to leak the game that shot down the minorities’ concerns. While the videos have already been taken down, the brief glimpses depict a remarkable feat for a console the age of Switch.
Although it is not quite as impressive looking as the game can be on other platforms such as PC, Xbox and PlayStation, it shows that the developer prefers some financial losses for providing the best results for the gaming community and quality products. It is a considerate approach from the Hogwarts Legacy team, as we saw the failure that was Mortal Kombat 1 on the Switch.
Why Was Hogwarts Legacy Switch Delayed for So Long?
Despite the initial announcement of a Hogwarts Legacy Switch in March 2022, it has suffered numerous delays due to the limitations of the Nintendo Switch. To put into perspective, the Switch is now well past its lifespan, and many current games cannot run on the system, which could be why Genshin has still not provided an update on its Switch release.
However, the Hogwarts Legacy developers are adamant about following through with their promise, as they have been assuring the community for months that they are doing all they can to make the Nintendo version of the game the best it can be. From the trailer and community reaction, they are on their way to success, as the Switch version of the game could be much better than anyone expected.
It is quite a heartwarming scene as even if Hogwarts Legacy Switch failed to live up to expectations, the game has already gained positive reviews and record-breaking sales as it became February’s best-selling game and the best-selling game of 2023 before the release of Zelda: Tears of The Kingdom. However, despite achieving all this, the developers are determined to provide the best for players. Therefore, it is only right for Nintendo Switch players to get excited for the November 14 release of Hogwarts Legacy Switch. Will you be getting the game?
