Chapter 1: The Lake

This chapter in Martha Is Dead portrays the scene in 1944 near a lake when Giulia is checking her cameras. You must interact with the cameras by using the direction button and holding RT. Some commands will be visible on the screen for setting the camera.
You will have to push up the RS to get a clear look at what she is observing. Just follow the prompts on the screen to initiate the cut scene, in which there will be more prompts. Then, interacting with the body and necklace and finally looking at your character’s right side will end the first chapter.
Chapter 2: The Body

At the start of this chapter, you will see Giulia praying in front of her sister’s dead body in the coffin. You will notice Giulia’s mother yelling at her husband for lighting candles. You will have to press RS to highlight any interactable objects. Look at all the things present in the room and interact with them. This will provoke Giulia to speak of those things, and you will have ample information about them. Now light the four candles on the coffin by taking a lighter placed on the piano nearby.
Then Giulia must take some flowers from her mother. For this, go to the closed door and interact with it. Now exit to the little patio at the other end of the room. Then put these flowers on a pillar near the door and try to interact with the door behind you to hear arguments between the parents. Then there will be a radio broadcast, and Chapter 2 will end here.
Chapter 3: The First Dream

In the 3rd chapter of Martha Is Dead, you will observe the first dream sequence. By using RS, you will initiate the process of choosing a path. The answer for the first sequence is (Martha has lost her soul), and then, after a cut scene, there will be another sequence. The answer to this sequence is (I stole her identity). Then there will be some skippable scenes. After this, you will notice Giulia holding something in her hand. Using LS and RS to hold the object, or looking down will also end this chapter.
Chapter 4: The Room

Interact with the picture frame after waking up. Look at everything around you and interact with it. You should also interact with the closet next to the bed. The dress on the right can’t be chosen, so you must select one from the remaining two. Take your bag from the door. Open the trinket box with the key by using RE to open your inventory. By picking up the diary, Giulia will check the first page.
You have to walk downstairs to initiate the next cutscene. Read the newspaper on the table. Picking up the camera, Giulia will check the camera by clicking a photo. Your bicycle will be outside, and interacting with it will start a quest to fix the tire. Moving back to the house and turning left, you will see two bicycles in front of the right wall. Pick up the pump by interacting there and move outside on your own bicycles.
Now it is time for a picture. Move towards the wall facing the forest and click the picture of the sitting bird. You can take out your camera by using Y. You will unlock the Sun achievement after the first click, and after taking nine more random clicks, you will complete the Empress achievement. Now go to the darkroom in the basement to develop your pictures. Interact with things in the darkroom. While clicking the photos as well as developing them, the pink criteria on the right shows that everything is fine.
You now need to locate a tripod that allows you to shoot a selfie. Thankfully, there is one nearby. Exit the darkroom and turn to the right. Pick up a pair of scissors and a letter near the sewing machine; We’ll need these later in the game. To discover the tripod and a chair, proceed to the opposite end of the cellar. Place the camera on the tripod and settle in. It doesn’t matter what phrase you use; Just follow the prompt to take your selfie. Interact with the camera to remove the film roll and return to the darkroom to develop your image. Chapter 4 will end here.

Take out the diary from the inventory and read pages 3–6. Ascend the stairs and enter the first chamber on the left. The front door key is located on the wall, close to the steps. Take it. Your first camera attachment, the flash, is on the desk. Return downstairs to the room where your sister is.
Take a photo of her using the flash on your camera. To do so, when on the camera interface, press Y and then RB to pick an attachment. Choose the flash, focus, and shoot the shot efficiently. Go to the darkroom. You can also find infrared film and lens, macro lens, blue filter, and orange filter on the table. Develop that photo of your sister.
Return to the first floor and unlock the front door. Choose the gaslight from the table on your right. Turn right and pass through the wall on your left to reach the family church. When you come to the bottom of the steps, turn left and walk past the two lights before turning right into the woods. It will be difficult to navigate the woods at night, so skip this for the day. Take the trail that leads to the lake. A German helmet can be found on a log.
Continue down the trail and across the bridge. Continue going until you see a little cutscene. You will then come to a fork in the road. Continue straight until you reach the first of three cameras. Interact with it and continue your journey. When you reach the shore, turn left to find the second camera. Interact with it by walking across the planks to your left. The third and final camera is located next to the light. Pick it up, and Giulia will instruct you on how to capture the red cloth.
Go back home. You will then see Giulia sprinting across the forest. You only must steer her using RS. You always end up in the same place, no matter which road you pick.
