Nissan SUV is taking a futuristic approach to 4x4s with its new concept design, Hyper Adventure. The Hyper Adventure will focus on the theme of the pleasant outdoors and active lifestyles, with Nissan looking to draw inspiration from Outback and Crosstrek in providing an adventure-oriented vehicle, unlike their current EV, the Ariya.

If you are a sucker for eco-minded outdoor travelling, the Nissan SUV Hyper Adventure will have you covered with its spaceship-on-wheels design and many high-end technologies. However, for those hoping to buy such a vehicle, you may be downhearted to know that this Nissan SUV will stay merely as a fully virtual concept, which Nissan will reveal digitally in Tokyo later this month. But, the features we will uncover below give hope for an actual presentable model on a North American auto show sometime in the future.

1) Outside Layout and Inside Appearance

At first glance, the layout and appearance of the Hyper Adventure Nissan SUV is a designer’s dream. The mini spacecraft vehicle takes inspiration from the Ariya`s basic shape with its angular shape and jutting front end. Moreover, Nissan has equipped the wheels and tires with crampons — not the metal spikes you attach to your boots, but seemingly snow-filled grooves that extend from the wheel face to the tire. 

Furthermore, the inside of the Nissan SUV has incorporated a dashboard screen, infotainment and a retractable steering wheel for when you decide to stay indoors or work. There is also a 180-degree swivel bench in the back so you can exit the rear hangar or put your feet up on the motorised retractable steps to allow you to put on your skis or space boots very quickly. The vehicle also features plenty of interior room to accommodate tents, kayaks, and other gear.

2) V2X Technology 

Despite the Hyper Adventure Nissan SUV not showing a large battery size, they have claimed that the EV has the capabilities of months-long journeys to remote locations with an abundant energy supply. Moreover, they have included functions for powering campsite equipment and electric skateboards using the vehicle’s large battery with ‘V2X’ technology connecting the vehicle to everything.

For car enthusiasts, you may already know that many electric vehicles offer a convenience mode like this, as it connects the vehicle to everything. For example, cars designed with V2X in mind are able to recognise and communicate with the vehicle, infrastructure, pedestrian and network of transportation. Thus, it will be alarming and shocking to see if the Hyper Adventure Nissan SUV does not have this technology built within.

3) e-4ORCE Driving System

For those unfamiliar with the system, the e-4ORCE  incorporates 4WD control technologies, chassis control technologies, and electrification technologies to take on the harshest winter conditions with superior control. The Hyper Adventure Nissan SUV is actually Nissan’s second concept design, as they released the Nissan Hyper Urban with scissor doors just last week. The push to release a whole raft of new electric vehicles is welcoming and fresh for the Japanese company as they have not shown their worth in previous years since pioneering EV with its Leaf vehicles, which they may now discontinue.
