Official WWE 2K24 Release Date

WWE 2K24’s release date has finally been announced by publishers 2K Games after months of anticipation and fans playing the guessing game. The game will be released on March 8, 2024, and will be available on both the PlayStation 4 and 5, Microsoft Windows, Xbox One, and the Xbox Series X|S. 2K Games has really gone above and beyond to not only provide players with a plethora of platforms to choose from but also multiple generations of consoles.

Following the release of WWE 2K24, you can expect tons of new game modes and updated features in-game. There are several returning game modes, as well as a massive roster of WWE superstars to choose from. The WWE 2K24 release date also coincides quite well with the WrestleMania’24 hype since the main-stage event is set to take place in early April.

To top off WWE 2K24’s release, developers Visual Concepts and 2K Games are also putting out a special edition of the game called WWE 2K24 20 Years of WrestleMania Edition. This edition will be lined up perfectly with WrestleMania to celebrate the biggest event of the year in the wrestling industry.

We gave you a brief overview of what you can expect in the standard WWE 2K24 version releasing on March 8, but what about the special edition releasing in honour of WrestleMania’s 40th anniversary? This edition will be a little pricier than the Deluxe Edition but will allow you to live through some of the most iconic matches in WrestleMania history.

Experience surreal moments like Hulk Hogan slamming Andre the Giant or Shawn Michaels going up against an undefeated Undertaker in hopes of breaking his streak. To take part in all this and more, you’ll need to get your hands on this special edition of WWE 2K24.

Pre-Order Editions

Since we teased the WrestleMania Edition for WWE 2K24, we’ll give you a small rundown of the other editions as well. There are primarily three editions: Standard, Deluxe, and the WrestleMania Edition. The standard edition has two versions, a PlayStation-compatible version and one that is cross-generational, meaning it will work on both PlayStation 4 and 5.

Cover Superstars for WWE 2K24

With the WWE 2K24 release date just around the corner, we finally got a glimpse of who the cover superstars will be for the latest iteration of 2K games. For the Standard edition, you have Cody Rhodes, a wrestler who has recently made a comeback to WWE after taking some time off. As for the Deluxe Edition, we’ll be seeing Rhea Ripley and Bianca Belair taking the stage as the cover superstars.

Bianca Belair will be the first-ever woman of colour to be featured on the cover of WWE 2K, which is a big achievement in itself and a great step forward for 2K Games. Lastly, we have the special WrestleMania Edition. For this edition, the publishers have decided to take a more classic approach and used pictures of some of the greats from WrestleMania’s diverse history.

The cover will be filled by people who have gone down in WrestleMania history for their iconic performances and for making WrestleMania what it is today. It will definitely be worth waiting for as the WWE 2K24 release date approaches.
