The PlayStation lineup of consoles is revolutionary, especially their in-house games such as Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, God of War Ragnarok, The Last of Us Part 2, Death Stranding, Horizon Forbidden West, and many others. That said, many PlayStation games are exclusive to the lineup, and yes, they’re not coming to PCs, Nintendo Switch, or Xbox Series X consoles anytime soon. To that end, Player.com has compiled a few upcoming ports to add to your bucket list.

Top 4 Upcoming PlayStation Ports: Rumoured and Confirmed
It’s true that many PlayStation exclusives never make it off of Sony’s range of gaming consoles. However, a select few of Sony’s exclusives make it to PC, not the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X, or mobile devices running iOS or Android. This is because PC gamers have continually shown an interest in Sony’s exclusives and their jaw-breaking visuals.
The logic is simple: It looks great on limited console hardware, so it would look stupendous on PCs that aren’t limited. You can swap out any part of your PC rig at any time, including your GPU and CPU. So, keeping up to date with all the updates and graphical breakthroughs is easy. To that end, below are six PlayStation exclusives coming to PCs soon.
#1: HELLDIVERS 2 | Confirmed
HELLDIVERS 2 is an isometric cooperative shooter developed by Arrowhead Game Studios. The game retains everything that made its prequel great, such as:
- Intense cooperative gameplay
- Procedurally generated missions across alien worlds.
- A diverse arsenal of weapons and customisable load-outs await.
- A dynamic “Friendly fire” element that urges members of a team to communicate.
Players are called HELLDIVERS and they engage in strategic battles against foes to complete missions. The gist is that everything on every planet wants you dead, including flora and fauna. Each enemy you face is distinct, and their moves, tactics, and behaviour are all unpredictable. These enemies don’t fight fair nor do they feel fear either.
That said, finishing missions will let you progress in-game while also unlocking new gear. HELLDIVERS 2 isn’t an easy game and you’ll need all the equipment you can get. Likewise, players are encouraged to work together. The sequel builds upon the success of its predecessor, which was a thrilling multiplayer experience.
#2: Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition | Confirmed
Horizon Forbidden West lets you roam a huge sandbox as Aloy, a red-haired lady with a fiery temper. Robotic dinosaurs prowl freely, giving rise to an immersive world of prey and predators. Truly, it’s one of the most beautiful games out there because of its photorealistic landscapes and technological marvels.
Horizon Forbidden West also boasts some of the best animations in the industry. Additionally, its roster of NPCs and companions is impressive, though it’s not as impressive as the variety of weapons available. There are just too many types of Ropecasters, Hunter Bows, and Tripcasters to enjoy. For one, there’s a Tripcaster for setting up defensive barriers around Aloy, which wasn’t present in the old game. It’s a cocktail that’s sure to leave players entertained and slightly jealous of Aloy’s robotic petting zoo.
#3: The Last of Us Part 2 | Rumoured
The Last of Us Part 2 might be a controversial game but it’s still highly rated by critics. It’s an action-adventure game that follows Ellie, who seeks revenge for her adopted father’s death in a post-apocalyptic world. We love the game for its compelling storyline, complex character development, and emotional impact. Yes, its themes are mature, exploring topics such as loss, senseless murder, and the consequences of one’s actions. Combat-wise, games can’t get better than this. You’ll experience intense combat with close-quarter combat.
Likewise, exploration and puzzle-solving are core aspects of the game, encouraging gamers to find secret exits and entry points into enemy strongholds. Still, the game sparked controversy because of its narrative, which didn’t sit right with some players. After all, Ellie’s journey was gruesome and murderous. Despite this, The Last of Us Part 2 deserves credit for its cinematic gaming experience that challenges conventional storytelling.
#4: God of War Ragnarok | Rumoured
God of War Ragnarok follows the adventures of Kratos and Atreus as Ragnarok approaches. It’s a gripping tale of a father and son that takes you across several realms. Besides the Norse lore, other memorable features of the PlayStation game are:
- Visually Stunning: Building upon the visual predecessor’s visual excellence, the game showcases photorealistic environments, great character designs, and cinematic moments that make you feel like the God of War.
- Intense Combat: The signature combat system returns, offering a brutal, yet satisfying moveset. You’ll battle both monsters and gods as you bring about Ragnarok. With the Leviathan Axe, Blades of Chaos, Draupnir Spear, and a great selection of shields, God of War Ragnarok is a visceral show of melee attacks and magic skills.
- Dynamic Father-Son Dynamics: The father-son dynamics in the prequel were great. Now, Atreus is stronger and faster, seemingly able to pull off impossible combos with his father. However, beyond the combat system lies a deep bond between Kratos and Atreus.
- New Mythological Challenges: Ragnarok is coming so players will face increasingly difficult enemies on their journey to beating Odin. You’ll travel between Norse realms with diverse enemy types, flora, and fauna, adding variety and challenge to the gameplay.
Our Final Say: PlayStation Ports Are Inevitable
PCs reign supreme in the gaming industry because of the flexibility of parts, quick updates, and lack of limitations. Sure, console games are much more stable than their PC counterparts, which is the reason why they’re being ported over to PCs. What if gamers could play The Last of Us Part 2 free of bugs at 60 FPS?

Many developers of PC games don’t optimise their games because there are too many platforms and software to keep up with. On the bright side, Soy funds Naughty Dog, Kojima Productions, and other in-house studios. Any game they make is sure to be debugged before being packaged and launched. You’ve got to respect the Japanese tradition of making high-quality products.
