Elden Ring DLC: Shadow of the Erdtree is nearly upon the general audience, and the hype regarding Elden Ring’s one and only DLC is at a fever high as Metacritic rated Elden Ring DLC: Shadow of the Erdtree a whooping 95 over 100 based on 58 reviews, the highest-rated DLC ever on their website.
It is a monumental feat for FromSoftware as it took only a few hours to snack the top spot over The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine, who held the throne with a score of 92.
Moreover, with other critical websites like IGN and GameSpot reviewing the Elden Ring DLC as 10/10, it could not come out sooner for users as Shadow of the Erdtree beating The Witcher 3’s expansion, which held the mantle of best open-world DLC experience should probably tell you what you’re in for.

Elden Ring DLC Has Even Elden Ring’s Original Author Locked In
Amass the Elden Ring DLC hype train, Nikiichi Tobita, the original author of the Elden Ring manga, took to Twitter and announced a temporary hiatus to fully immerse himself in Shadow of the Erdtree, after releasing the manga’s latest episode, “ELDEN RING”, The Road to the Golden Tree Episode 45.
It seems not even someone who started the Elden Ring journey for everyone can resist the temptation of divulging in the Land of Shadow.
As for what people can expect from the DLC, the Shadow Realm has a gigantic open-world map dense with ground-breaking revelations and secrets to discover. We will spare the details to prevent spoilers but summarise the DLC as a masterpiece expansion catering to veterans with incredible bosses and newcomers with clearly explained mechanics and systems.

Will User Experience Differ From Critics?
Yes. Everyone has an opinion on games, and we should respect their decision and not try clowning and boycotting them. The biggest discrepancy between Users and Critics was when Destiny 2’s DLC: The Final Shape was released.
For context, Metacritic rated the game 94/100 based on 10 critics, but when the DLC was released, users found it disappointing, and the score rapidly dropped with users scoring 78/100. However, do not let this dissuade you from your expectation of the Elden Ring DLC and share your thoughts with us on our Facebook.
