We’re kicking off our series on online content creators with a deep dive into the OTK Network. This organisation, abbreviated from One True King, stands out from other collectives due to its Texas base, which deviates from the usual hubs of New York or Los Angeles favoured by many US content creators. This piece will focus on OTK’s current members, founded in 2020.

A brief overview of the OTK Network’s origins reveals that it was officially launched as OTK Media in 2020 by Asmongold, Mizkif, Esfand, Rich Campbell, and Tips Out. Shortly after, Nmplol also joined the founding team. While the organisation has grown since its inception, it has also seen some departures. More details on this evolution will be discussed as we proceed.

Members of OTK Network

Approaching its third anniversary in a few months, OTK currently boasts 10 active members. Throughout its journey, three content creators, including co-founder Jschlatt, have parted ways with the organisation.

Emiru initially joined OTK solely as a content creator, but a year later, on January 31, 2023, it was announced that she became one of the owners of OTK. Sodapoppin, affectionately known as the proud father of Texas-based streamers and one of the earliest on Twitch, joined OTK directly as both an owner and content creator in 2022.

In the sphere of streaming collaborations, drama is inevitable. This is perfectly exemplified by some of the past members of One True King. Rich Campbell, a central founding member, was swiftly expelled from OTK in 2020 due to allegations of sexual assault levied against him.

Jschlatt, possessing a massive individual following and viewership, chose to exit OTK of his own accord in 2022. His departure was drama-free, and he retains the co-founder title in OTK’s other brands but no longer contributes content.

Bruce was the most recent member to sever ties with the group. Rumours surfaced that Bruce was the target of racially insensitive jokes by other members, but this claim remains unsupported. Bruce has since moved to Kick, causing his continuation with OTK technically impossible.

1. Asmongold

As a significant figure within the OTK Network, Asmongold is a renowned content creator in the gaming sphere. His extensive knowledge of World of Warcraft established his popularity, but his repertoire has grown far beyond that. His bite-sized reaction clips posted on YouTube have garnered millions of weekly views in recent years.

Asmongold, whose real name is Zack, holds co-ownership in One True King and associated brands like Starforge System and Mad Mushroom. He continues streaming full-time on Twitch and co-hosts the weekly Steak and Egg Podcast with Emiru and Tectone.

2. Cyr

While many OTK members hold the dual role of content creators and co-owners, Cyr, known in the real world as Vincent, does not. As an established creator on Twitch and YouTube, Vincent’s live-streaming stardom took off after he joined the ranks of OTK, and he’s now one of the group’s most cherished members.

Like Sodapoppin, Vincent holds a unique position among Twitch’s pool of various gaming streamers. Every stream sees him exploring different games, engaging tens of thousands of viewers with his charismatic role-playing performances. The edge that sets Cyr apart from his counterparts is his early exposure to acting, which enables him to perform comfortably in front of the camera.

In contrast to many OTK Network streamers, Vincent neither resides in Mizkif’s nor Esfand’s homes. His unique content earned him the honour of being the first content creator the organisation sought to bring on board.

3. Emiru

Emiru’s formal photo above might not ring a bell, as she is renowned for being one of America’s top cosplayers. A glance at her Instagram will reveal a plethora of beautifully executed portrayals of characters from various games and anime. This talent largely contributes to her success as a prominent content creator.

Her fans on TikTok love her for her lively dance routines. However, she also is one of Twitch’s most-viewed female streamers. Initially joining OTK as a content creator, she quickly ascended to co-ownership status. She is a crucial organisation member, residing in Mizkif’s content house.

4. Esfand

Esfand, one of the founders of OTK Network, is relatively new to content creation. Despite starting his Twitch streaming journey in 2017, he quickly gained significant popularity. His initial World of Warcraft-centric streams expanded post-2018 with live streams from various events. Collaborative projects with Sodapoppin and Asmongold further propelled his reach into the millions.

As a mainstay of One True King, Tim also has a creator house in Texas, similar to Mizkif. Thanks to a recent partnership with the NFL, he live-streams select games, attracting tens of thousands of viewers. Notably, Tim is one of OTK’s most technologically savvy members.

Loot Goblins, a co-creation of Esfand and OTK Media, ranks among the highest-produced live shows on Twitch in recent years. We eagerly await the kick-off of the upcoming season.

5. ExtraEmily

Emily is amongst Twitch’s most vibrant and cheerful streamers, let alone OTK. Whether streaming on her own channel or guesting on others’, she exudes positivity and laughter. Even during her amusing stream, where she taped herself to a wall, she never ceased to smile.

ExtraEmily is one of the three members solely dedicated to content creation within the organisation. After joining OTK, she moved to Austin and her streams are primarily composed of ‘Just Chatting’ streams, often sharing her day-to-day life through her mobile streams.

Emily’s growth since joining OTK is undoubtedly something to celebrate. Her viewer count has skyrocketed, and she continues to share her infectious energy with everyone.

6. Mizkif

Matthew “Mizkif”, Rinaudo may ring a bell for you. Before his meteoric rise in recent years, he worked as a camera operator for the well-known YouTuber Ice Poseidon until 2018. His career has skyrocketed over the past three years despite initially streaming to a modest audience until 2020.

Mizkif is one of the pioneering streamers hailing from Austin. For instance, he enjoyed a close friendship with Esfand long before reaching the prime of his popularity. Moreover, he was already a known figure at gaming events. After co-founding OTK Network in 2020, his career has been unstoppable. His content house in Austin is now home to numerous streamers, including Emiru.

While Matthew may not always make the soundest decisions, his rise to fame as one of the most popular streamers in recent years is undeniable. Furthermore, he’s been focusing on his well-being lately — don’t be surprised if he soon embarks on a modelling career, following in the footsteps of his sister, Emily Rinaudo.

7. Nmplol

Ah, good ol’ Nick. We genuinely appreciate him and the comedic dynamism he shares with his girlfriend, Malena, making them one of Twitch’s most entertaining duos. Raise a toast to Nmplol: Sodapoppin’s long-time pal, a former World of Warcraft player turned Apex Legends “Legend”, and OTK’s tech whiz. Jokes aside, Nick’s role in OTK Network is invaluable.

Nmplol’s presence as a streamer holds a unique spot not just on this roster but across the Twitch platform. Together with Malena, he conducts almost daily morning streams from their kitchen. Promptly at noon, their show wraps up. Over the years, they’ve carved out an impressive niche for themselves, maintaining a steady upward trajectory.

Their mobile streaming sessions, usually conducted from their car, offer a uniquely enjoyable viewing experience. Having shared living quarters with Sodapoppin for an extended period, Nick now resides with Malena and their dogs.

8. Sodapoppin

If Twitch stands where it is today as a platform, it’s indebted to four pioneer streamers: Sodapoppin, Lirik, Summit1G, and Reckful. Furthermore, Sodapoppin was among the first to lead the platform and the “Gaming streaming”, genre. Thus, if we find ourselves discussing personalities like XQC, Pokimane, or HasanAbi today, it’s this remarkable individual we ought to express our gratitude towards.

As a co-founder of the OTK Network in 2022, Chance has been a trailblazer for Texas-based streamers. While others congregated in Los Angeles, he successfully rallied an impressive cadre of content creators around him. The once World of Warcraft world champion now personifies variety streaming.

He shares his life with his girlfriend Veibae, whom he encountered on VRChat. What sets this couple apart is that Vei is among the most prominent VTubers. So, Soda’s significant other is essentially a PNG file (Joking, of course) streaming to hundreds of thousands of people each month. Long live Soda, you have our admiration.

9. Tectone

Tectone, successfully maintaining his real name as a mystery to his audience, is one of the recent additions to the team. He joined the OTK Network solely as a content creator alongside Cyr, meaning he’s not part of the ownership or co-founding team of the organisation. However, this is far from a downside, considering Tectone’s career has seen an extraordinary upward trajectory in recent years.

Though he typically gravitates towards anime-themed games, his distinctive, vibrant personality sets him apart. With his ceaseless energy, exuberant outbursts, and knack for generating laughter, Tectone embodies all the essentials of an engaging streamer. Originally hailing from Canada, he relocated to Austin like many other streamers.

10. Tips Out

As one might expect, maintaining the OTK Network is a job for more than nine passionate streamers. It requires someone to manage the business aspects, someone even more audacious than any other organisation member. Well, Tips Out was once a streamer. Now, he works as the genius behind OTK.

Tips is the pivotal figure ensuring the organisation’s smooth sailing. He is responsible for all negotiations, events, and novel initiatives. He also oversees OTK’s subsidiaries like Starforge Systems and Mad Mushroom. Without Tips at the helm, the OTK Network as we know it likely wouldn’t exist.

He’s gained recognition for his immediate responses to consecutive questionable decisions by Twitch. A quick scroll through his Twitter will give you a better idea of the streaming savant you’re dealing with.

Does JSchlatt Own OTK?

No, JSchlatt does not hold ownership of the OTK Network. In 2021, he relocated from New York to Austin and joined OTK. However, by the close of 2022, similar to the situation with Mizkif, he voluntarily withdrew from the content creator title of the organisation. He offers advisory support to the team’s YouTube operations and maintains his partnership with Starforge Systems.

Who Is the Most Popular OTK Member?

In terms of sheer numbers, Asmongold holds the title of the most popular OTK member, with Mizkif and Emiru close behind. However, Sodapoppin and Esfand are also important for the organisation. Other streamers who’ve recently joined the organisation are in the early stages of their careers and may soon see their popularity rise to the top ranks.

Is OTK or OTV Bigger?

OTK can be considered a substantially more prominent organisation. OTV, or OfflineTV, consists of newer and less-known streamers. In contrast, nearly all members of One True King consistently rank within the top 20 English-language channels.
