The Redditor observed an increase of more than 200 frames per second (Fps) in performance with the utilisation of Intel’s novel tool, underscoring the significant enhancements it can bring to gaming experiences.
In the case of Metro Exodus, when the tuning utility was enabled on the Intel i9-14900K, there’s a significant improvement, increasing the average frame rate from 273fps to 339fps, marking a 24% boost in performance.
On the other hand, Rainbow Six Siege demonstrated even more remarkable performance enhancements. With the tuning utility enabled, there was a substantial increase of 208fps, taking the frame rate from 659fps to 867fps. In terms of percentage improvement, the Intel optimisation application resulted in a 31% boost in performance.
Testing From The Verge’s Tom Warren
Warren’s test results align more similarly to the official statement of Intel. He conducted a test on Rainbow Six Siege using the very high preset at 1080p, running on a Core i9-14900K system paired with an RTX 4090. The results showed a transition in frame rates from 615fps to 688fps, representing an almost 12% increase. In the case of Metro Exodus Enhanced, with the high preset at 1080p, frame rates improved from 177fps to 207fps, marking a nearly 17% increase.

Currently, the Intel Application Optimisation support is constrained, and the setup procedure for this application can be complex. The Application Optimisation exclusively functions with 14th Gen CPUs, and before installing the app, it necessitates the prior installation of specific drivers. Moreover, the Application Optimisation is solely accessible via the Microsoft Store, and its installation will result in an error and failure if the requisite drivers are not already present.
One will require Intel’s Dynamic Tuning drivers, which should be obtainable directly from motherboard manufacturers such as MSI and Asus. It’s important to note that not all motherboards currently have these drivers listed. Additionally, you must enable Intel Dynamic Tuning Technology in the BIOS settings.
