Fans have been all over the new Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 game ever since its release, and for good reason. With the intricate storyline, striking graphics, and usage of not one but two Spider-Men, the game finished off strong. But the one very important thing people didn’t recognise was the post-credits scene and what those meant for Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. Let’s see why Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 could be the perfect title end to an amazing series.

Everything That Leads to Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 Being an Iconic Finish
So Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 had tons of loose ends in the post-credits scene. Of course, all of those were intentional. Insomniac Games gave us just enough to speculate what was about to happen but not enough material to piece everything together. From the introduction of Albert Moon’s daughter, Cindy Moon, to Norman Osborn visiting Otto Octavius in prison, there’s a lot to unpack here.
We also can’t forget that there’s a scene where we’re practically down from two Spider-Men to one again as Peter Parker hangs up his spidey suit to pursue a normal life. That, as well as his childhood best friend, Harry Osborn, being in the hospital after their dramatic fight against Venom and Miles miraculously being able to revive Harry temporarily.
While these are only a couple of examples of what the events of Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 lead to, we can see that everything is sort of culminating, waiting for a big reveal in one of the titles. We’re just going off on assumptions here, but we definitely think Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 could be just the game they’re waiting for to present us with a memorable finish. For your ease and for those who have not played the game, let’s go through all the scenarios individually.
Cindy Moon Is Introduced as Rio Morales’s Boyfriend’s Daughter
The relationship with Cindy Moon might seem like a mouthful, but that’s not what’s important. At the very end of the post-credits scene in Spider-Man 2, Rio Morales invited her new boyfriend, Albert Moon, to meet her son, Miles. When Albert arrives, he introduces his daughter, Cindy, who we only see from the back of her head.
Now, the reason this is important is because Cindy Moon is the identity of the spider superhero character, Silk, who we’ve seen in the comics some time ago. With Insomniac Games teasing her introduction, we might be expecting her to make a grand entrance in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. After all, they wouldn’t leave us hanging like that after a reveal; Otherwise, it’d lose the hype.

Norman Osborn Visiting Otto Octavius in Prison
This is definitely the most important post-credit scene, in our opinion, since it hints at the main protagonist(S) in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. Norman Osborn sees his son, Harry, being carried in Spider-Man’s arms towards a paramedic team. It then rolls over to Harry in a hospital bed, and Norman gets really angry at the web-slinging superhero.
He proceeds to call someone and initiate the readying of the G-serum, and afterwards, the shot cuts to him talking to Otto Octavius. While Octavius doesn’t reveal the identities of the two Spider-Men, he says he’s writing “The final chapter”. This could only mean that he’s writing about his plans to exact revenge on the Spider-Men that put him in prison, and “The final chapter” hints at a really big reveal in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.
It should be noted that this is not a confirmation of any events expected to take place in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3, and the scene is open to interpretation. But with Norman Osborn on edge and already having ordered the G-serum, we can expect something to go down in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3.
Only One Spider-Man in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3
One of the less discussed happenings in the post-credits scene was Peter Parker talking to Miles Morales about retiring from the Spider-Man post. The reason this might not have been that important is because most of us know this retirement is not about to last long. But since it’s been hinted at once, we believe it might just come true after one big future climax.
This could be exactly what Insomniac Games have been building up to since Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 might showcase an extensive array of villains, both old and new. Miles Morales will definitely need some help and might even get some aid from the new superhero, Silk. However, all this is speculation and subject to change. But if Peter Parker were to retire, saving the world in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 might just be the fight to go out after.

Harry Osborn Fighting for His Life
The last point that was made in the post-credit scenes in Spider-Man 2 was that Harry Osborn is in the hospital after being revived by Miles Morales post-Venom fight. This really isn’t that significant since it’s unlikely the Venom symbiote will take control of Harry’s body once again.
Still, if it has happened once, what’s to stop it from happening again? We will, however, see the fate of Harry Osborn in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 as the storyline progresses. Will he be written off as a casualty in the fight between good and evil, or maybe make some sort of unexpected event we haven’t seen coming? For all this, we’ll need to wait for the official news of Marvel’s Spider-Man 3 game first.
Parting Thoughts
With so much happening in Spider-Man 2’s post-credit scenes, it is only normal to think that a lot is about to go down in Marvel’s Spider-Man 3. Insomniac Games might have left so many loose ends hanging around just to tie them up in this game, something that would make the game the perfect send-off to the trilogy.
