Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is an action RPG with many compelling characters and a detailed combat system. Having said that, there are many Jobs in the game that players can pick up. The higher your Job level, the better your performance will be while working. Still, Jobs are divided by gender, so you’ll find many male and female jobs for Ichiban Kasuga and the other members of your party.
Speaking of Ichiban, he can work any of the male Jobs available in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Besides that, Ichiban also has some exclusive jobs, which are common with other members of your party. To help you choose the right Job, Player.com has compiled a list of the six best Jobs in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.

6 Top-Tier Jobs in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is full of Jobs, so picking a versatile one that’ll help the whole party is important. After all, the essence of forming a party is to complement each other’s strengths and weaknesses. Below are the top six Jobs for Ichiban Kasuga and his party members in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
#1: Samurai
Samurai is a classic Job in video games nowadays. Heck, Soulslike games like Elden Ring revolve around different classes to add depth to the gameplay. We’re glad that the studio went with the same route in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. To access the Samurai Job, you have to purchase it at Alo Happy Tours after selecting the Trolley Tour. The whole package costs $1,600, and you must have at least five points in Confidence.
On the bright side, the Samurai class is the strongest in the game, so they thrive on melee combat. To compensate for the Job’s lack of Willpower, Samurais can also shoot fire arrows, so you don’t need to get up close and personal with foes all the time. Some of the best moves under this Job are Cyclone of Iaido and Pine-Bamboo-Plum.
#2: Action Star
You can access the Action Star Job at Alo Happy Tours in Chapter 5. Instead of picking the Trolley Tour, pick the Parasailing Experience, which requires Level 4 Charisma and $200. That said, Action Stars are some of the toughest Jobs in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. They have maximum Health and average Defense, so they’re only affected by instant-kill moves.
Some of the best moves in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth are Flying Monkey Strike, Boulder Breaker, and Flying Dragon Strike. Yes, there are combat moves such as Relentless Dragon Dance and Swirling Dragon’s Throw. Still, Action Stars can’t hit enemies hard enough until Level 22.
#3: Sujimancer
Sujimancer is a Job that’s exclusive to Ichiban Kasuga, and the criteria for unlocking it are slightly tricky. To put it lightly, you must:
- First, complete the Sujimon mini-game around the island.
- Beat one of the Four Heavenly Kings, and the Job will be available.
Sujimancers can summon all the Sujimons they encounter in the mini-games to combat enemies. If you can assemble a team of high-level Sujimons, enemies are goners. However, it takes time to level up to that point. Moving forward, you can use a variety of attacks, including Frosty Foray, Poison Breath, and Zesty Burst. On the flip side, Sujimancers have low attack stats, though somewhat balanced by their high Willpower.
Yes, this Job is also perfect for players who prefer supporting party members. There are healing spells like Healing Soil and support spells like Essence of Sujimon Second Wind. Still, these spells cost a lot of MP, so only use them when the situation is dire. Alternatively, rest regularly or eat food that restores MP.
#4: Desperado
Desperado is the best class for gunners who don’t mind supporting party members from the back. It’s a nice Job that offers maximum MP and high attack damage. So, most enemies won’t survive many shots, and regular goons will be floored in a single turn. However, Desperado truly shines because of the Essence of High Noon, which is a move that can one-shot-kill targets if they’re afflicted by a status effect.
Other benefits of picking the Desperado class are its great gun range and top-notch positioning. On the flip side, this Job is susceptible to all forms of damage. That’s why we prefer to hang in the back whenever Ichiban or any other party member is a Desperado.
#5: Hero
Hero is one of the most versatile Jobs in the game, but it’s only ranked low because it takes time to properly level it up. Right off the bat, the Hero Job awards you high damage output and the necessary moves to support your party members during fights. Besides Sujimancer, Hero is the best class for Ichiban Kasuga in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth.
Thankfully, you should start with the Hero class and then make your way up from there. This doesn’t mean that you can switch Jobs and upgrade them at any time. Alternatively, go for the Host Job to learn some support skills. Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is over 60 hours long, and Hero Job is the best for the majority of the campaign.
#6: Chef
Chefs are overlooked in the game, but they’re capable of dealing with high-damage attacks because they’re specialists in blunt trauma and blade damage. Likewise, you can deal with close-range fire damage, which is convenient considering a real-life chef’s familiarity with fires. Still, these aren’t what the Chef Job is all about.
A Chef is a party member who debuffs the enemies by inflicting an ailment or another. Our favourite moves so far are the Sashimi Slice and Wound Opener. They don’t have too much Defense, but their attack and magic stats are staggering. However, Chefs belong in a kitchen, so their lack of Willpower isn’t surprising.
Our Final Say: The Sujimancer Is the Best Class for Ichiban Kasuga
The best class for Ichiban Kasuga is the Sujimancer, capable of high-damage magic attacks. Hopefully, more Jobs will be added in future updates and DLCs, but for now, we’re enjoying the likes of Hero and Chef Jobs. Other characters, like Kiryu, will thrive in the Samurai Job while others will make great Chefs.
