Vampire Survivors is a Roguelike game released in 2021. It was one of the top selling games on Steam in 2022, and even won the BAFTA award for best game this year.
Now, an exciting announcement has arrived. Vampire Survivors has announced that it will be working with film producer Story Kitchen to turn the game into an animated TV series. The team includes John Wick’s creator-writer Derek Kolstad and co-creator Dmitri M. Johnson, who was also a producer for Sony Pictures’ Sonic the Hedgehog.

Not much is known about the Vampire Survivors TV animation, but what is confirmed is that the two creators of Story Kitchen are both avid fans of the game. In an interview with Deadline, they said, “After spending hundreds of hours playing Vampire Survivors, we’re hooked! It’s an honour to work with the Poncle team and continue to create more stories for Vampire Survivors.”
Early Stages
According to the game’s setting, Vampire Survivors takes place in a rural Italian village in 2021, where an evil vampire, Dracula, uses his evil magic to make the area inhospitable to the people, and the Belpaese Family, led by Antonio, stands up against the vampire army.
