7 Methods for Farming Money in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth
You can farm money via some methods in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. No, we didn’t include any glitch or cheat code in the list; Just a rundown of all the obvious and hidden routes to making quick money.
#1: Use Pawn Shops to Your Advantage
Pawn Shops are abundant in Hawaii. To be specific, you’ll find four Pawn Shops in this location, which are:
- Anaconda: You can find this Pawn Shop in the Anaconda Shopping Center on Harbor Street.
- Hula Ave: You will find another Pawn Shop on Hula Avenue just next to Julie’s Gearworks.
- Chinatown: Players will find the Chinatown Pawn Shop, which can be found on Kolonahe Street.
- River St: You can find this Pawn Shop on River Street, just northeast of Aloha Bridge.
You can sell any item that you collect on your adventures to Pawn Shops scattered around the sandbox. This includes silver plates, extra gear, weapons, and scrap materials. The best-selling items are the ones with three stars, which include weapons.
Also, health items will fetch you tons of money in Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth. Health items that fully heal companions could fetch you as much as $100. Offload any extra or useless items after each mission to earn more money for higher-grade weapons and gear.
#2: Do the Story Chapters
Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth is a huge game that will take gamers at least 50 hours to complete. That’s because of its many side quests and activities, which help flesh out the sandbox. The side quests are rewarding for the most part, but they can’t hold a candle to the amount of cash you’ll earn by completing story missions.
You only need to progress in the campaign until you reach Chapter 5 in the game. At that point, you would have unlocked most of Hawaii and earned enough cash to go wild. Beating down goons and exploring the mission areas are enough to earn you $1,000 per main mission.
#3: Battle High-Level Enemies at Once
Always battle enemies with the highest ratings because they carry the best loot. It’s one of the riskiest ways of making money on this list, but this method is a surefire way to rack up resources. This is more true when you fight enemies at a higher level than you.
That said, don’t battle high-level enemies without a pocket full of health items and regenerative drinks. Also, ensure you have mastered the game’s combat system, which requires more strategy than you think. Thankfully, that fact doesn’t take away from the game.
#4: Engage in Smackdowns
You’ll be paired against enemies at lower levels than you are in Smackdowns but they’re incredibly short. This makes up for the small payouts, compared to fighting enemies on a higher level than you are. So, picture racking up $100 in mere minutes and you essentially understand Smackdowns.
Moving forward, Smackdowns are only unlocked in Chapter 5, which is another reason to play Story Chapters. Your party members should also be at Level 20 at the least to secure your winning chance. To recognise enemies that you can Smackdown, look for foes that are highlighted with a blue marker. Approach them and press L2 on the PlayStation to initiate a short fight. You don’t have to control Kasuga or any of your party members and you’ll still win the loot.
#5: Go to Dondoko Island
Dondoko Island can be unlocked later in the Story Chapters and it’s chock full of missions to complete. Thankfully, these missions are lucrative, so you will earn in Dondoko Island’s currency (Dodobucks) and then convert it to Hawaii’s currency later on. To that end, the missions that you complete are meant to turn Dondoko Island into a resort that attracts visitors.
So, your main goal is to increase Dondoko Island’s rating until you reach five stars. At Five Star, players will be awarded $300,000 for taking their time to renovate Dondoko Island. Likewise, you’ll earn money every time you upgrade Dondoko Island’s rating.
#6: Defeat Sujimon Trainers
You can start beating Sujimon Trainers as soon as you unlock the Anaconda Shopping Center. Just visit the PC Shop to meet the Sujimon Professor who introduces Kasuga to Sujimon trainers. Beat those trainers in battle and you’ll be well compensated for your efforts. The amount of wealth you’ll earn is divided by levels such as:
- Bronze: $50.
- Silver: $100.
- Gold: $500.
- Platinum: $1,000.
You’ll have to beat Bronze-rated trainers before you can fight Silver-rated trainers and so on. There’s also the Discreet Four, which is a group of four super-powerful Sujimon trainers who drop the best loot. Try to reach the top sooner rather than later.
#7: Go for Substories
Some Substories Like a Dragon: Infinite Wealth let Kasuga earn his keep at a job while others are just favours. Ultimately, you’ll earn a lot of money by completing Substories. Heck, completing Substories is the only way to unlock cash mechanics like Aloha Links, Dondoko Island, and Sujimon Battles.
