Mortal Kombat 1 is out and its review scores are better in every facet than their predecessors. Developers are finally getting used to all the raw power of next-gen consoles. So, this game isn’t only brighter; The dialogue and the fight physics have been polished. Many features have also been introduced, including flawless blocks, air combos, taunting, and Kameo fighters.
There are a lot of interesting features in Mortal Kombat 1, but for now, let’s talk about the fatalities. To be more specific, the fatalities of special characters like Omni-Man and Takeda. Both fighters can only be unlocked via the DLC pack, though that’s not the only way to unlock them. You’ll learn how to execute these fatalities and brutalities available to special characters. However, some characters won’t be available until the DLC is released.

Mortal Kombat 1 DLC Characters | Fatalities and Brutalities Included
Omni-Man and Homelander are part of a Mortal Kombat 1 DLC pack that also introduced the likes of Quan-Chi, Peacemaker, and Homelander. Their fatalities and brutalities are anything but performing mercy but until 2024, we can’t experience those moves ourselves. In the meantime, let’s discuss the many executions that you can try out with Omni-Man, Takeda, Ermac, and Quan-Chi.
#1: Omni-Man
Omni-Man is a Viltrumite who is thousands of years old and capable of massive deeds of good and evil. It all depends on his mood, whether he wants to raze a planet or be its protector. Everyone at Player.me agreed that this monster would murder Superman if given a chance because he hails from an imperialistic race. Now, he has made his way to the realms of Mortal Kombat with devastating skills and abilities. His powers have been honed by countless years of battle experience, so we look forward to Mortal Kombat 1 characters performing well.
He’s the first character available in the Kombat Pack for good reasons. He’s a conqueror who has set his sights on Earthrealm for the glory of the Viltrum Empire. Some of his stats are superhuman stamina, strength, speed, and endurance, so just like Superman, he can traverse the depths of space without a ship.
In Mortal Kombat 1, he can use a variety of abilities, such as Giblet Maker, Mega Clap, Tiebreaker, Up and Away, and Invincible Rush. Our favourite is the Viltrumite Stance, where Omni-Man hovers above the ground and parries all projectiles with ease. Afterwards, he taunts his rivals so they can make a mistake that he can brutally use to his advantage.
Omni-Man’s Fatalities and Brutalities | Combo | What It Does |
Trained Killer | PlayStation: Down, Down, Left, and Circle.Xbox: Down, Down, Left, and B.Nintendo Switch: Down, Down, Left, and A. | Omni-Man grabs the opponent by the head and flies to a subway. He then minces his opponents to their bare skeletons and entrails with an oncoming train. |
Like Putty | PlayStation: Down, Right, Left, and X.Xbox: Down, Right, Left, and A.Nintendo Switch: Down, Right, Left, and B. | He crushes his opponents’ heads until their eyes pop out and he rips them off. Then he uses the head to split them in half from their necks to their groins. |
The Klassic | PlayStation: Down, Then Hold Triangle.Xbox: Down, Then Hold Y. Nintendo Switch: Down, Then Hold X. | Omni-Man detaches his opponent’s head with an uppercut. |
Behind You! | PlayStation: Grab Button. Xbox: Grab Button. Nintendo Switch: Grab Button. | The villain snaps his opponent’s neck at a 180-degree turn. |
#2: Takeda
Takeda is the son of Kenshi, a blind warrior with psychic abilities that can turn his opponents’ brains to mush. Between him and Professor X from X-Men, we don’t know who’ll win a mental battle. Takeda, on the other hand, was trained by Scorpion in the way of the Shirai Ryu. So, he never backs down from a fight, using whips, katana, explosive kunai, and plasma swords to dice up opponents.
Using Takeda is a joy because he combines the moves of both Scorpion and Takeshi, such as pulling opponents closer for a killing strike or reading and scrambling minds. Post-release, he’s going to be one of the best characters in Mortal Kombat 1. He can also teleport around the battlefield like his master, Scorpion, and fight like a Shirai Ryu. Some of Takeda’s best moves are Air Spear, Whip Strike, Spear Ryu, Quick Phase, and Tornado Strike.
Also, Takeda’s fatalities are imaginative, especially with those whips of his. There’s the Whip Attack where Takeda slices off both of his opponent’s arms with his whip. Then he impales his enemies through the mouth and pulls out their spines. The second fatality is even more brutal, with Takeda ripping out his opponents’ rib cage with two whips and then smashing their heads with it. For now, Takeda isn’t a playable character in Mortal Kombat 1, so there’s no concrete information about his fatality and brutality combos.
#3: Ermac
Ermac is a telekinetic who can crush enemies with his mind alone. He’s also a fusion of many souls, so he can access the many abilities of the beings inside him. Besides telekinesis, he’s also capable of teleportation and travelling between realms. The endearing part about Ermac is that he was a villain who later joined the good guys. Additionally, Ermac can decimate opponents in hand-to-hand combat because of the battle experience of the numerous souls inside him.
The souls inside him are ancient, having fallen into Mortal Kombat, so they’re well-equipped with different forms of martial arts. He’s also immune to telepathy, so he’ll crush enemies like Kenshi in combat. Nevertheless, Ermac isn’t omnipotent and it’s Netherrealm. The longer he stays in the realm in which he was born, the weaker he’ll grow.
Some of Ermac’s iconic moves are Teleport Punch, Hado-Energy, Telekinetic Slam, Soul Ball, Mystic Float, and Soul Burst. Some of Ermac’s fatalities are Telekinetic Slams, Uppercut Explosion, Telekinetic Tear, Uppercut from Hell, Boss Fatality, and Inner Workings. As for the brutalities, Ermac can use executions such as Nether Force, Gluttony, We Win, Controlled Chaos, and Soul Eater. He’s not a playable character yet, so a tutorial about his moves is impossible for now.
#4: Quan-Chi
Quan-Chi is the most powerful necromancer in the Netherrealm, capable of waking up the dead or absorbing powers by stealing souls. He’s a cold, intelligent, and enigmatic individual whose ambition is to rule over reality itself. His enemies are Sub-Zero and Scorpion, because he corrupted Sub-Zero’s brother and murdered Scorpion’s family. The only players who can match Quan-Chi in combat, cunning, and dark magic are Delia, Shinnok, Shao Kahn, and Shang Tsung.
Besides the ability to steal souls, he can also shapeshift into any being he wants. So, his powers of manipulating the human soul are practically godlike. Another highlight is that Quan-Chi can clone himself to confuse his opponents as part of his conjuration and illusion skills. However, we love Quan-Chi for his cunning nature, as he would rather manipulate opponents and allies to their deaths without using sorcery or fighting them.
His signature moves are the Green Flaming Skull, Rising Star, Tele Stomp, Magnet Force, Air Throw, and Black Magic. Quan-Chi isn’t playable in Mortal Kombat 1 yet, but we’re looking forward to his brutalities and fatalities such as Fatality Steal, On Your Knees, Both Ends, Kurb Stomp, Touch of Death, and Puggle’s Wrath.
#5: Homelander
Homelander is a psychopath who wears the face of a hero in public but he’s a menace in private who’s capable of the most gruesome evils. This man had the chance to save civilians aboard a plane but then decided to let them crash because he wasn’t in the mood. Homelander is also a capable fighter who can go toe-to-toe with heavy hitters like Superman, Beastmaster, and Omni-Man. He’s capable of flight, superhuman strength, speed, stamina, and hearing. Additionally, he’s invulnerable to most attacks, though he can’t heal as quickly as Omni-Man.
He’s also charismatic, so he can lull people into a false sense of security and safety until he murders them all. Thus far, there are no confirmed moves, special moves, fatalities, or brutalities for Homelander because he’s not a playable character yet. Players have to wait until the Kombat Pack is released next year before they can play as this homicidal Supe. Sadly, the voice actor behind the original Homelander won’t be voicing Mortal Kombat 1’s version of the hero.
#6: Peacemaker
Peacemaker may be violent and maniacal but he’s still a vigilante so he’s committed to the greater good. On the flip side, he doesn’t mind killing anybody who stands in the way of that greater peace. Luckily, Peacemaker’s voice actor in Mortal Kombat 1 is still John Cena, whose voice is so annoying in the series that enemies want to kill him on the first meeting. Jokes aside, Peacemaker is dangerously powerful and shouldn’t be underestimated.
Also known as Chris, his psyche is in tatters so his skills are focused on killing enemies. He’s a master marksman, combatant, and assassin whose will is indomitable because of his beliefs and toxic upbringing. Nevertheless, Peacemaker is still human and can be killed by fatal attacks like impalement and crushing blows to the head. So, we’re looking forward to his performance against supernatural beings like Scorpion, Sub-Zero, Homelander, and Omni-Man.
Frequently Asked Questions
How to Unlock the Special Characters in Mortal Kombat 1?
You can unlock special characters such as Homelander, Takeda, Quan-Chi, Peacemaker, and Omni-Man by purchasing the Kombat pack DLC. The DLC costs £35 so it’s not the cheapest. Players who don’t care about budget can check out the Mortal Kombat 1 Premium Edition. It currently costs £90 and sure, the Kombat pack DLC is yours if you’ve already purchased it.
What’s the Difference Between Fatalities and Brutalities?
Fatalities are executed after a fight is done, but brutalities are done before a fight is finished. You have to execute a specific move plus some other combos to pull this off. Overall, brutalities are trickier to pull off than fatalities, though both types of executions look cool as heck.
How Different Is the Game with Kameo Fighters Around?
The game is different with Kameo fighters around because they can extend your combos. If you know the right moves, you can bash your opponent for a minute before he’ll remember to block. Kameo fighters offer no breathing space to their opponents and luckily, you can call them by pressing the shoulder buttons of your controller. It’s super easy.
