Upcoming 15.5-inch MacBook Air expected to be released in 2023

According to a report from Display Chain Consultant, Apple is planning to release its new 15.5-inch MacBook Air in the first half of 2023. The production of panels for the device is reportedly set to begin in the first quarter of the year. The MacBook Air, which is expected to be sized between the 14 and 16-inch MacBook Pro models, will be the largest MacBook Air to date.

Analyst Ross Young from Display Chain Consultant has suggested that the new MacBook Air will feature a MagSafe charging port, an upgraded speaker system, and a 1080p camera. It is also expected to be available with M2 and M2 Pro chip options. In terms of design, the new MacBook Air is likely to resemble the 13-inch MacBook Air, with flat edges, a large Force Touch trackpad, and a keyboard with function keys.

Additionally, the new MacBook Air is rumored to be thinner and lighter than previous models, and it could be offered in a range of colors similar to those available for the 24-inch iMac, including blue, green, pink, silver, yellow, orange, and purple.

While speculation about the new MacBook Air has been circulating for months, this latest report offers more concrete details about the possible release date and features of the device. Apple has not yet commented on the report or confirmed any plans for the launch of a new MacBook Air.
