Tekken 8 is a phenomenal game with many unique fighters and stages to choose from. That said, Tekken 8’s Arcade Quest mode is fun because it’s basically the game’s equivalent of a career mode. So, you can think of it as a series of local tournaments that are crowned by the Tekken Cup Championship.
Having said that, Tekken 8’s Arcade Quest mode offers a rank-based experience. So, the harder you fight, the faster you can rank up. To that end, Player.com has compiled all of the tips for quickly levelling up in Tekken 8.

Choose the Right Fighters
It’s important to choose the right fighters in Tekken 8 because they have different move sets. Naturally, every gamer’s playstyle can’t be the same, so some players will prefer Reina’s fighting style. Alternatively, King is a capable fighter with plenty of tenacity and power behind his moves. Other great fighters with devastating combos are Bryan Fury, Victor Chevalier, and Leroy Smith.
However, our favourite so far in Tekken 8 is King because he doesn’t punch and kick like other characters. Instead, King grapples and throws his opponents into submission. He can manoeuvre at impossible angles to get in position for a slam attack. Still, because he’s a Pro Wrestler instead of a martial artist, it takes some time to get used to his moves.
Reduce the No. of Rounds in the Settings Menu
Head to the settings menu and reduce the “No. of Rounds (Ghost Battle)” to speed up your XP acquisition rate. For one, the number of individual matches that you fight won’t add to your XP. Instead, Tekken 8 will reward you with a preset amount of XP after every fight. From there, all you have to do is grind until you get to the top.
You should fight the hardest opponents available to gather the most experience. Thankfully, Tekken 8 doesn’t have a steep learning curve. So, you can easily work your way up from the average fighter to the cream of the crop.
The Final Round
The Final Round is a hidden mode in Tekken 8’s Arcade Quest. Only the brave should approach it because it’s the toughest Arcade Quest mode you can ask for. Your opponents are punishing, so your mistakes will be dealt with instantly. To triumph, you need fast reflexes! Thankfully, the rewards are many, including:
- Staggering amounts of XP for quickly levelling up. You will be awarded around 1,000 XP per match. Tekken Emperor, one of the highest ranks in Arcade Quest mode, is 79,099 XP, which means you only have to beat an opponent 70 times.
- Tons of Trophies and Achievements to brag about online in friend groups.
- Treasure boxes that reward a variety of items.
Sure, you might be tempted to stop fighting Ghosts in Arcade Quest once you open the final Treasure Box. There are 42 Treasures Boxes in this mode and they all contain alternate outfits for all of Tekken 8’s characters. So, climbing to the top requires a lot of hard work and, understandably, many gamers won’t get past it. However, completionists are properly rewarded by Bandai Namco Entertainment in the form of Harada-TEKKEN.

Harada-TEKKEN is inspired by the creator of Tekken, so he brings pain every chance he gets. Beating Harada-TEKKEN and subsequent bosses will reward you between 500 XP and 1,200 XP. Don’t be surprised, because he’s the strongest NPC in Tekken 8 for a reason. If you manage to complete Arcade Quest and its Final Round, you’ll enjoy even more rewards, including:
- You’ll bear titles such as the Final Boss, Godfather, and Bearded Man.
- New Health Bars will be added to your UI and yes, they’re striking. It’s a cool way to announce yourself at matches.
- The raw skills needed to decimate most Tekken 8 players online.
Our Final Say: Arcade Quest Mode Is Way Too Fun to Ignore
You can access the Final Round by speaking to Max. At a point in Tekken 8, you’ll be stronger than every opponent you face, except for the Ghosts in the Final Round. So, you can say it’s the only mode you need in the game. However, like any good thing out there, you must first earn it. To do that, clear all of the fighters that aren’t available in the Final Round.
Video games aren’t cheap, so the Arcade Quest mode is the perfect chance to fully experience Tekken 8 at its finest. Human beings are smart, so kudos to the developers for giving us a challenge. Tekken 8 is available on the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC. It’s best played with a controller if you are still deciding between a controller and a keyboard.
