After just a week and a half of us covering Stardew Valley update 1.6, new news regarding Haunted Chocolatier, a new game developed by the sole Stardew Valley creator, has surfaced. Before we get into the nick of it, many of you may wonder what Haunted Chocolatier is. Simply put, the game follows the virtual aspect of Stardew Valley, but it ditches the farm business for sweeter pastures: It is a chocolate sim game with ghosts.
Since it was initially teased in 2021, the passionate fans of Stardew Valley have given their full support to Eric Barone, or ConcernedApe, for the new project. Thus, the developer slowly teased more and more snippets of the game on Twitter until he dropped four new screenshots of Haunted Chocolatier in celebration of reaching the milestones of one million followers on his account.
Haunted Chocolatier Teased in One Million Followers Celebratory Post
On October 4th, 9:17 AM, ConcernedApe dropped four images, each featuring a different scenario from the action RPG Haunted Chocolatier. While many would congratulate him for hitting the one million followers milestone, many, I presume, reading this article will focus on the four different images shown.
Thus, let us get straight into it with the first picture. For starters, the image depicts a player’s character inside what seems like a well-decorated home, which we presume to be our home base in the game. Secondly, the second picture on the top right-hand side shows a character using a bow and arrow to fight off enemies in a forest. It will be a great switch-up from Stardew Valley as players can finally get their hands on the long-range weapon.
In the third image, we can see a character enjoying the beautiful view of the fountain in the night of Haunted Chocolatier. As for the fourth picture, we can see a model in front of a book and spending his time in a giant library, which we presume holds many lores in the game. Fortunately for players, Haunted Chocolatiers is not as story-immersive as games like Genshin Impact or Honkai Star Rail.
Is ConcernedApe Juggling Between Stardew Valley and Haunted Chocolatier?
Yes. As the sole developer of both Stardew Valley and Haunted Chocolatier, he is in charge of the progress of both games. Thus, it has been a slow grind for him since he started his journey. For example, he spent four years dedicating himself to creating Stardew Valley. Fortunately, his hard work paid off, and the game is now one of the most famous life-simulation games and consists of the most fun fanbase.
After releasing news of Stardew Valley just last month with teases of update 1.6, the developer seems to have directed his attention back to Haunted Chocolatier after announcing a temporary hiatus in April 2023.
Thus, will the game be released before the four-year time period of 2025? We sure hope not, as we want the best for him and the best for Haunted Chocolatier.
Concluding Thoughts
ConcernedApe antics on Twitter of teasing leaks have become the norm, and fans love him all the more for his dedication and passion for his craft. For example, while these four images are static, the work he has put into highlighting every detail is something we cannot help but appreciate.
