What Is Renown in Diablo 4?
Renown represents your character’s reputation Diablo 4. This value, calculated separately for the open world’s five regions, can be boosted by tackling specific side missions. The higher your renown score in a town, the greater the variety of bonuses and rewards you can reap. While this mechanic is a first for the Diablo series, it might ring a bell for fans of other RPGs.
In Diablo 4, the renown bonuses are allocated into five per region. You’ll automatically pocket rewards the moment you unlock a level. When you move to a new region (Provided it’s your first visit), you’ll be starting from scratch since your reputation there will be zero.

How to Increase Renown in Diablo 4?
To increase your renown in Diablo 4, you’ll need to complete certain side quests, which are calculated separately for each town. Side quests offered by NPCs carry significant weight in this context. Additionally, if you’re keen to give your character’s renown score a rapid boost, locate the town notice board as soon as you arrive in a new area. From here, you can select side quests and finish the following:
- Discover a New Are – 5 Points
- Find an Altar of Lilith – 10 Points
- Activate a Waypoint – 20 Points
- Complete a Sidequest – 20 Points
- Complete a Dungeon – 30 Points
- Complete a Stronghold – 100 Points
You can check your character’s renown progress in Diablo 4 at any time by pulling up the map. You can view the renown progress for each region simply by hovering over that area.
