It all starts with you, Allen Tusk, a famous billionaire, playboy, and philanthropist who lands in a haven, namely ParadiZe, where humans and zombies live harmoniously together with the great invention of a hacking helmet that turns them into allies — they might even help humans to beat other zombies and maintain the peacefulness in town. Yet, it’s later discovered that this haven isn’t the kind of paradise in expected when battles start against beating zombies for more land, weapons and materials to build your paradise.
Landscape Vibes
Welcome to ParadiZe incorporates clever satirical elements, notably through well-executed animated infomercials that provide background context, demonstrating a lighthearted approach.
This is evident as players fashion armour from natural materials like leaves and twigs and engage in combat with airguns against zombies, injecting a playful tone into the experience. The effort invested in developing the game’s lore is apparent, with periodic glimpses into Welcome to ParadiZe’s past adding depth to the narrative, which is a commendable feature.
Furthermore, the landscape itself stands out as one of the game’s most impressive aspects, resembling a 50s theme park, complemented by a catchy acoustic funk soundtrack, contributing to its overall charm.

Gameplay: How to Build Your ParadiZe?
1. Build a Zombie Team
One against many is certainly a no, thus you need a team to help you combat zombies. The interesting thing is that you can build your team with zombies too. Get into a battle, attach a hacking helmet to a zombie’s head, and the zombie joins your team with a new name: zombot.
Throughout building your paradise, you will also receive several tasks, and you can get your zombots to work them for you. You can designate various tasks for your zombots, both within and outside of the mission. Moreover, in combat with other zombies, you can instruct your zombot for close combat using different weapons, equip pillow armour, and explore other features. One of the fresh elements in Welcome to ParadiZe is that it encourages experimentation, tactics, and planning from players, which is commendable.

But what if your zombots are killed in battles? After your zombot is eliminated, you can affix another hacking helmet onto a different zombie, effectively building your undead army tailored to your gameplay preferences. These zombies can assist you in various ways, such as healing, scavenging, or launching kamikaze attacks when their health is low. It’s possible to have two zombots accompanying you simultaneously, and your zombie companion will even aid in attaching a hacking helmet to a new zombie if necessary, a feature that significantly enhances the game’s distinctiveness.

2. Gather Materials for Your ParadiZe
With you and your zombots battling to get new lands, you’ll need materials to build your cosy spot.

The crafting system is a notable highlight, offering opportunities to construct various structures as you advance in the game. With sufficient blueprints, you can create a weapons bench, walls, traps, and even establish a home base, providing a secure sanctuary for yourself. Additionally, by constructing a zombot pylon, you can summon an undead workforce to assist you, ensuring a cozy atmosphere in your post-apocalyptic dwelling. Given that your home base will frequently come under attack, bolstering your defence force becomes crucial, especially when you’re not present to fend off assaults.

Is Welcome to ParadiZe Worth Buying?
If you’re a person who enjoys simplicity in games, this game is worth it. It’s simple in in terms of fight mechanics, building up the skill tree through battles, and building up your land. Being a zombie game, it does not elicit any serious, scary and dark atmospheres like those zombie movies and certain classic zombie games. If the game is to be mentioned in one word, it’s just genuine fun, the killing doesn’t remind you of too much gore, but rather laughter when you counter with a zombie elephant or zombots with funny moves.

If you’re a person who also likes sharing the gaming fun with friends, this is also a great point to make you buy Welcome to ParadiZe, as it is one of the online multiplayer games that offers this mode, where you get to battle with not only in-game zombie companions but also real-world friends. We believe it will be one of the great co-op games that bring fun.
Yet, according to the game review from Soundsphere playing Welcome to ParadiZe in PS5, the game still has a few flaws. Specifically, the menu design can be problematic at times, with pop-up menus occasionally blocking the view during building sessions. While this issue is relatively minor, it can become increasingly bothersome, especially when attempting to customise zombies, and characters, or equip them with unique attire or weapons.
On My Way to ParadiZe!
In summary, Welcome to ParadiZe offers a refreshing twist on the traditional zombie-killing experience, with the innovative concept of hacking zombies to assist in combat adding an exciting dynamic. While additional missions in DLC would be appreciated, fans of shooting games and top-down games will find plenty of enjoyment here. Overall, it’s hard to beat the fun factor this game delivers within its niche. If you’re into it, get ready for the zombie party rocking in tomorrow on Steam PC!
