As Nephalem, we are once again preparing to explore the vast Sanctuary in Diablo 4, one of the most highly-anticipated games of 2023, set for release on June 6th. With the countdown to the epic battle against Lilith underway, many players are wondering whether Diablo 4 will be on Mac or not.
The answer to this question is a straightforward no. Unfortunately, Blizzard’s latest instalment in the Diablo series will not be directly playable on any Mac system, including desktops like the iMac and laptops like the Macbook Pro or Macbook Air. However, there is no need for players to invest in a new PC to enjoy the game.

How to Play Diablo 4 on Mac?

Diablo 4 is set to be released exclusively on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One. If you do not own any of these platforms, you will need to explore alternative methods to play the game. While there are a variety of options available, our focus will be on cloud gaming.
The two most popular cloud gaming platforms currently used by millions of gamers around the world are GeForce Now and Xbox Cloud Gaming. Unfortunately, Diablo 4 does not support either of these platforms. Therefore, even if you purchase the game from Battle.net using your Mac, you will not be able to play it on these platforms.
To play Diablo 4 on a Mac, you will need to consider using third-party software such as:
- AirGPU
- Shadow
- OneCast
- Boot Camp
Each of the methods listed above has its own advantages and disadvantages. For instance, the Boot Camp method, which enables users to set up a virtual PC on their Mac, is only available on Intel-based Macs. This method will not work on newer Macs with M1 or M2 chipsets that were released in recent years.

To play Diablo 4 on a Mac using OneCast, you‘ll need to have an Xbox Series X|S or Xbox One console. Players can transfer the image from their consoles to their Macs and play the game from there. However, it would be more logical to purchase the game directly from the Xbox Store for a smoother gameplay experience.
Shadow and AirGPU are third-party software options that function similarly to GeForce Now, with the exception that they support nearly all games, as they do not have an official library. It is expected that both of these methods will be compatible with Diablo 4 within a few days of its release, especially Shadow.

Following the success of Diablo Immortal developed for mobile devices, it is natural for players to wonder whether Diablo 4 will also be available on phones. However, if you had your sights set on playing Diablo 4 on your mobile device, you may be disappointed to hear that it won’t be possible.
Diablo 4 is a part of the main series and will not be released for mobile devices. Only players with old and new generation consoles and PCs will be able to play the game. If you own a mobile device, you can still enjoy Diablo Immortal without any issues.
